    @Katastrophic40741 Yeah but it doesn't spin on the cool setting so that is what I meant by a waste :) You can't use it.

  • @tiffanyrachel7329
    @tiffanyrachel7329 10 лет назад +22

    Just a thought, when you mention the cool air doesn't do anything, actually what hairdresser do is when they use a lot of heat on hair, what the cooling does is it SETS the hair at the shape and texture it is when the heat was applied. Think of it this way: If you curl your hair with a curling iron, it takes heat to apply that shape to the curl, if it's still hot when you let it go, it may wilt if you do not apply cool air to set it.

    You NEED the COLD SHOT setting!! When the hair is rolled up in the brush to the root using a hot setting, keep the brush in the hair and switch to the COLD setting for about 15 seconds. Switch OFF before you unroll the brush. This method gives a smoother finish, gives more body, and holds the style.

    @bwitty0114 Yeah but it doesn't spin so you can't use it to seal the cuticle that's what I meant by being pointless!

  • @bwitty0114
    @bwitty0114 13 лет назад +2

    The cool button is to seal the cuticle, just wanted to let you know :) That's also what the cool button is for on blow dryers.

    @elliottsterling yeah but it doesn't rotate on the cold setting I would use it if it did because obviously it would make a huge difference to the hair.

  • @TheMakeupChair
    @TheMakeupChair  13 лет назад

    @iammicahdiaz Out of all the things that I have tried the biggest difference is heat defence, allow the hair to have a day off and dry it naturally and SOYA milk, soya milk is awesome my hair has really grown and its much healthier now.

    A cool setting sets hair. Once the tool has heated up the section its working on use the cool setting and when the hair cools it stays in the positioning. Which if you think about it makes perfect sense, we heat it up to make it move the way we want it to, then cool it to make it stay in place.

  • @TheMakeupChair
    @TheMakeupChair  13 лет назад

    @dblyrt2597 I think it would help yeah to cut down on the work so you might just get a little bit of a difference and if it doesn't work just sell it on Ebay :)

    Oh my god sinead I went out and it and oh my god it's brill , was a bit sceptical at first saying il never be able to use it , it's just like a hair dryer , nah , but then I seem it in boots and was saying if I don't like it I can always bring it back maybe , so I tried it and oh my god i have salon hair without going the hairdressers , have been looking for one of these for years , something like a hair dryer that I can use ! My hair looked and felt so healthy !

    You mentioned that there was a cooling setting and you looked puzzled with it...At the end you mentioned not touching your bangs & waiting for them to cool... That is where that cooling switch comes in handy.;o)

    the cool setting is to set the curls on cool. just to keep the curls long lasting. just like when we do curls with curling iron and we pin them up to keep the cool and once they are cool they stay longer.

    that is what the cold setting is for, once you find the style that you like as you said at the end of your video you use the cold setting to set it. they don't put a cold setting on for no reason,
