@37:42 when you opened that small box, I saw that light blue “pouch” with purple and a flower. That belongs on the wrist of an Avon perfume bottle that is the tooth fairy. I had one as a little girl. The bottle is a blue color to match the pouch (at least mine was). The pouch went on the wrist and in her other hand, she holds a wand that glowed in the dark when you turned the lights out. FYI Very often enamel bowls had holes to hang them to keep them out of way or drain dry. The enamel doesn't survive being banged about so careful. Smaller ones often were to feed the chickens etc. Also the medium size was used for gathering garden items for suppers etc. the larger ones were for face and hand washing. The largest ones with straight sides down about 5 inches and 14 or so inches across were used for doing dishes, washing produce and baby laundry etc.

It's probably been too long now to matter, but the 1922 Liberty coin at 27:14 I saw bought on Pawn Stars for $80,000. If you still have it you may want to research it.
those bowls are not porcilen they are enamel bowls
Gotcha...thanks for letting me know :)
Porcelain
Those little celestial tea tins used to go for a moderate amount of money Loving this unit
I could spend the next year selling everything from this unit! Everything is collectible. No trash :)
I am still selling from the second unit I purchased in March Tons upon tons of mens new clothes which were totaly out of my wheelhouse Now teaching full time and in the middle of a move Still listing but my sales are predominantly from that unit On a buying stop until end March I have to get everything else listed before I buy another unit Chomping at the bit but having to get my fix through watching You Tube lol
In the "old days" women put bars of soap in trunks, etc to keep it smelling nice. I still use it for bureau drawers
What a great idea :)
I remember that!! We used to do that as kids too
I still do that, as did my late Mum and both my late Grandmothers.
Awesome video!! What a great unit!!
This unit is AMAZEballs!
Ring is a pigeons blood ruby which is consistent with him going to Cambodia or Burma. A good stone has value.
It is a beautiful stone for sure! Let's hope it has some value.
My fingers are crossed for you
they have put a limit on how much can be taken a year.
@@CarrieC1965 I have a PB ruby that colour with the description from a professional gemologist saying it is PB.
What a beautiful unit you bought you hit the jackpot on this one ; Awesome
If you look for dates on the news paper and fliers used to wrap the glass items, at least uou will know when they were packed away.

I just started watching your channel I love you guys and you guys are so funny and I love your great finds
Welcome to the RUclips Hales family
When you find coins that are obviously part of a coin collection- you should check them not only for silver content but also for errors.
I just need to find a good coin collector that I can trust and let them do all the checking :)
the buffalo nickle coin with the 's' stamp on it might be worth more than you think. If it is a misprint, . My children inherited a change purse from a great aunt i gave my son one the silver looked new they were Morgan silver dollars which were worth 58.00 she got them from the bank went home took eyebrower pluckers put each one in a little brown envelope. i notice my oldest son purse was missing, when i asked about them he said oh those i filled my car up with gas filled. that gas was worth 1.160.00 dollars.
@@carolynboyd6796 That must have been one Hale$ of a tank of gas
Depression glass came in several colors. Pink, green, yellow and that darker pink and a variety of patterns my faviorite was the light pink with the Rose of Sharon pattern. My grandmothervhad a whole set most if which got donated to some thrift store in her home town. I had a few peices when I was younger.

I get a kick watching your videos and seeing the looks on your face when you find something exciting.
Dont break antique trunk locks! Never shake up or throw coins! Yikes. Lots of great stuff.
Exactly
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... too late :(
Coin collectors hold them by the edges.
I love you I love you and George both think you're wonderful people will care and I like that
What a great unit! But Jeremy, did you know that you can get glasses now that will allow you to see colors correctly? Go to RUclips and type in EnChroma glasses and watch some of the videos of people who are color blind seeing colors correctly for the first time. It will blow you away.
Yes, I was aware of that. I may try that someday ... not sure :) I kind of like knowing that I see the world completely different from everyone else :)
Hahahahaha!! That sounds like typical Jeremy. Maybe you could find someone else who has them and just give them a peek.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a video of Jeremy wearing a pair of those glasses for the first time. I'm guessing it would be his best video ever.
I thought his 3D miracle glasses were a hoot! Did anybody else feel like we were all getting punked? Deservedly....
Susan isn't there a warning on not wearing these glasses too long? Thought I saw something to that effect.
I don't know if you get these messages on old videos but I was watching another channel and even those old small bars of soap out of that trunk can be collectible! You really do need someone to get you look those things up. Carnival glass so much money to be made from a unit like that!
Forgot to mention the Avon collectables. My grandmother sold for more than 35 years and I helped and I have never seen some of those things and I'm almost 60.
Thank you for letting us know! Any idea how much it might be worth?

Jeremy, that chest has one more secret to yield. It looks like there was a secret compartment. The lip that holds the insert can be removed.
these guys need to buy some books.
More VINTAGE than actual ANTIQUES. But your excitement was contagious. I could not stop being on the edge of my seat! ❤❤❤
I'm still on the edge of my seat... WOW!
I thought for sure the police were after George again. You know how she never stays out of trouble with 5-0.
SO TRUE! They are always trying to arrest her...FOR DISTURBING THE PEACE :)
Honestly just subbed because of the way this man says knife stay awesome man
Stick around and you'll hear all kinds of ways to say English words :) Welcome to the big show :)
