@@Duedme I'm 66 years old and have been playing drums for 25 years and I still can't play this good with 2 arms. Much respect to this young man for doing this. That was truly inspiring bro! I suffered a spine injury at work and was told I'd never walk again. After 10 yrs I walked, now I'm driving and coaching my kids sport and I've even got my old band back together. Drums were my life and to get back behind a kit gave me a joy I thought I'd lost forever. Never give up!!
That was amazing!!! Truly inspirational!!! Also a drummer, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a decade ago. Off the jump, I went blind, lost feeling from the waist down and left arm, and started losing my balance constantly. Since then, my sight returned but I never regained feeling and even lost more of it in my right arm. I had to relearn a lot of things, not just drumming. Taught myself to drive again, to walk, to function without the sense of touch. Also underwent physical, occupational, and aquatic therapies to strengthen and coordinate my body. I can play with my upper half very well but sadly, I suffered nerve damage in my legs and my kick drum leg doesn't work well but my brother redesigned my kick pedal so that I use my heel to play and not my toes. Drumming was and still is my life blood! What you did is something so fantastic but beyond that, I hope your message gets helps others out there! 🥁🐒🤘
I would tell a story, but it is incredibly long. All I can say though is that Joey would be astonished to see what Jack has done. I am making/forcing this to make me a better and more driven person than I am currently. I want to learn new things (especially drums) and lose the weight that I want to lose. This certainly gave me that little nudge to do those things.
U know, I always had contact with music since I was a kid (started at the Baptist Church) and I used to play drums and acoustic guitar as well, but in 2010 I had a motorcycle accident, and lost the movement of my left arm and hand. I hope my wife never sees this. She’ll say I have no excuse to text her back while I’m playing.
ahahahah!!!!
I've seen this guy on Instagram, this is quite easy for him!
Bebetto TheNinjaDrummer what’s his @?

This young man absolutely SHREDS! What a beast!
No excuses, just perseverance.
BRO,, YOU ARE INSPIRING ALL DRUMMERS.. We will be very embarrassed if we are lazy to practice. 👏🙏
Great job !!!
i play drums and im 11 i do Slipknot and im surprised how he does it
Yeah, need big courage to do that
no excuses for us
amazing
If Def Leppard has taught me anything it's to never underestimate a one armed drummer or the human spirit.
Fuck Yeah!
Amen brother! Ricks a beast! But combine rick and jack and you have metal madness
Nothing against Rick, Dude rocks but he's using a lot of triggers and electronics. This guy is on a acoustic traditional kit which is next level!
That is so true we take so many things for granted we don't see the possibility
@@thepriest98 Well, Rick is using an acoustic traditional kit long ago dude. He was using electronics during the 80s and 90s but not anymore.
Who the hell disliked this? This guy is insane props to him 💪🏻💪🏻
People who think that listening to slipknot make you a poser. The same people who only know mainstream band and menace people who like every kind of post 80s metal
@@dagondraven Lol like who you talking about here? Slipknot is post 80's so need clarification lol..I saw slipknot live in 99 and they were great!! Although I am a fan of stuff like Slayer as well. Cant we all get along??😂😂
People with two arms who can't fucking play this well
@@crashinhy can't argue that lmao
I’m just giving then benefit of the doubt and assume they’re people that think this is somehow exploiting the guy’s injury. That and probably bots.
This dude is an inspiration. Not because he only has one arm and has clearly overcome a lot, but because of the message he's spreading. You can do anything you set your minds to! It's a message our parents tried to teach us as children but sadly for many of us that message is drowned out by the world around us. This guy is living proof that even when life takes you in and spits you out un-whole, you're still you and you're still capable of great things!
His accident turned out to make him stronger, just like Broken, Beat and Scarred....
I get ya 🤘🏻
Close your eyes and listen to this. Could you ever guess he was only playing with one arm? Absolutely insane.
Maybe with a few hints.
It's very obvious, when he plays the Hi-Hat in a 4/4 beat. Since he only can hit 3/4, because on 4 he has to hit the snare.
@@tertozer3543 only a trained/fellow musician will really notice that, the average listener won't care or won't know why it sounds a little bit "off"
@@awrebyawe I wouldn't say about me, that I am a trained musician or that I have extraordinary ears. "The avrg listener" wouldn't even consider Slipknot as music.
@@tertozer3543 plenty of people seem to think slipknot are music.
He's probably memorized Def Leppard's entire discography by now...
It comes as a default with the missing arm😂 Much love Jack🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@Jacob-ph1wb yes that's the joke
Definitely had to be an inspiration
one big difference with this guy and def leppard is he isn't using any extra pedals to make up for the missing notes
He sure did it , and he was lucky to be able to see and learn from someone in the same situation. And that someone was the first. For me , Def Leppard has no comparison.
I was in a punk band maybe 25 years ago and there was this one armed kid who fixed a stick on his stump with a belt and absolutely slayed the shit out of everything. This made me wonder what hes up to now.
Damn, that's inspiring.
A completely acoustic kit? With all due respect to the great Rick Allen, this is next level. Killer!
Rick walked so all the rest could run. Incredible.
Knowing that he only has one arm, you can hear the compromises he’s had to make, but if I hadn’t been told I wouldn’t have known at all. I’m very impressed
Yes! The fact that he can't hit the cymbol and the snare at the same time changes up the time feel a bit, but he does it totally naturally so there's no "wrong" or "off" feeling in context.
Exactly!
I was talking to my buddy last night and he was saying humans weren't as good at adapting to missing limbs as animals are. I brought up a no armed shooter. And here this is. Badass, man.
"Duality" played with one arm?
That's quite a... singularity.
... I'll show myself out.
Please
lol you stole this joke
@@Meccarox Hey, I don't want to start a fight over this, but: no, I didn't steal the joke. I checked the comments just now and realized that someone used similar words - tough luck...
I can delete the comment if that makes you feel any better 🙂
Have a nice day!
@@bruderjakob651 ok
Bruder Jakob I’ve learned over the years that if there are more than like 200-300 comments for a video, any joke I could possibly come up with, has already been told many, many times previously throughout the thread...
The fact he fits those ghost notes in is pretty special, what a guy
Why would someone dislike this video??? His playing is freaking killer!
They cant play it even with 2 hands 😂
Leandro Fava they don’t have legs...
They’re probably jealous. I bet they can’t play this with two arms.
i asked myself the same question.... i guess there are people who just want to dislike everything
This bastard played Duality with one arm. This might be one of the most impressive single drumming videos I've ever seen. Fucking wow!?
Judging by the setup rotation, he lost his good arm. Fact sunk in.
bruh i didnt even notice that.
I used to play wirh a guitarrist that lost three fingers from his left hand. He had to learn to play lefty, even tho he did almost everything with his right hand.
Technically.. his left is his better arm though. if he had lost his left arm, there would have been a higher chance he bled to death.
This guy doesn't "Play well, for somebody with only one arm", this guys just PLAYS amazing!
Seriously, he can play this fast with one arm. Imagine if he had both.
Twice as fast probably.
He wouldn’t be as fast with each arm because he wouldn’t need to be.
Nikola Iliev true.... like drumeo says speed without accuracy is bollocks
No joke, you're probably an engineer's best friend. No bleed on the snare and cymbal overhead mics?? What a dream.
If pedaling snare exists, he will be play much more than that.
Def Leppard. Uses a pedal coming from an e-drumkit to trigger the snare sound. As well as other stuff I can't recall atm
It actually exists, but not in an acustic drumm (not seen it yet) but you can build something to pedal a snare
In an electronic drumm, just more pedals and with software you can play any sound you want
Jack used one for awhile. Turned out to be too much of a hassle so he said "fuck it" and went without.
I have cerebral palsy I used to have a thing made to hit the snare with and it helped me keep better rhythm because I have better control with my feet. But I couldn't do sixteenth notes patterns on the snare. That part limited me.
Great song
Cam Cole!
wow this guy’s playing the drums better than me with two arms
Pure respect
Even if we had 3 arms I wouldn't be able to play better than that
@@Duedme I'm 66 years old and have been playing drums for 25 years and I still can't play this good with 2 arms. Much respect to this young man for doing this. Just goes to show how much he loves what he does. The remark he made at the end "if I can play Duality with one arm, what's your excuse" I don't believe was to diss or put anyone down but to say hey if I can do it so can you.
Jack: Damn, I've only got one arm....
Jack's Feet: No sweat. I got this....
Man loses an arm and still hits the fills better than most garage drummers
Magical man
That was truly inspiring bro!
I suffered a spine injury at work and was told I'd never walk again. After 10 yrs I walked, now I'm driving and coaching my kids sport and I've even got my old band back together. Drums were my life and to get back behind a kit gave me a joy I thought I'd lost forever.
Never give up!!
Amazing shit man. Seriously ♥
Drummer from Def Lepard had the same story. After he lost his arm he kept playing and some fans claimed he played even better than before 🤘
To think what they could do if they played together since Rick lost his right arm!
Would be epic

The drum parts in Def Leppard are simple. Plus Rick Allen now plays a mostly electric kit with foot pedals to trigger various toms, cymbals, etc.
5:48 - There is literally no excuse. So much respect for this guy!
Dude SINGLE HANDEDLY gave all the drummers a run for their money
This guy has inspired me to stop playing drums.
Drummer with four limbs: This song is impossible
Drummer with three limbs: Hold my beer
:D:D:D:D
Lol
Yet another example of I don’t know how to do anything.
Same
I can't imagine a life without flams.
Seriously though, this guy killed it. Nothing but respect.
Sadly he couldn't play the blister exists because of that probably
Yeah this guy is amazing !
Ps - we don’t need to hands to execute flams

Exactly. Your first sentence describes the same as I felt.. stay(sic)

I can’t even play this song with two hands. This guy is very talented.
Non Smokey0525 same!
I mean he just practiced, but damn respect.
Imagine overcoming your disability, becoming an incredible one-handed drummer and then getting a prosthetic arm. He'd be unstoppable.
U know, I always had contact with music since I was a kid (started at the Baptist Church) and I used to play drums and acoustic guitar as well, but in 2010 I had a motorcycle accident, and lost the movement of my left arm and hand. It’s called “Brachial Plexus Injury”. To see you doing that, gave me hope and joy. Thank you Drumeo for tell his story.
ruclips.net/video/0tTgU7CYfgk/видео.html
The only person I have seen play this song better one handed was Estepario Siberiano, but he's a drumming GOAT. Props, on not letting something so devastating take away your love of music.
Let's be honest here. Drumming is precision. The fact that you only have one arm and keep playing is a testament to your character and the power of your resolve. Some inexperienced drummer are often all over the place when "less is best" and precision beats flourish everyday. You sir, are a great musician! God bless.
Damn he made like his own style of playing. This guy is sick.
*sic
i was wondering how he was gonna do the fill at 2:35. i got my answer - flawlessly.
