I just came across your channel and subscribed. I'm happy to support a fellow moto content creator. Very nice video with awesome scenery. Thanks for sharing. Ride safe 👍👊
Hey thanks mate! I'm lucky to live on the east coast of Australia - beautiful roads everywhere. Checked out your channel and subbed, great stuff. Happy days mate, enjoy the ride!
@@hachewie Magic! There's some cool looking cabins at Bimbi Park at Cape Otway for only $80 a night, wildlife right nearby, and a couple riders told me Skenes Creek Road and Tutton's Track are awesome - they look good on the map. Hope you can get it done sometime soon!
Cracked it again mate.. loved it.. those tyres.. say no more .. that driver i use that term loosely.. but you handled that spot on, slowed down spat a few things out and moved on.. 5 stars to you..
Cheers mate. I always brake first (not swerve or beep) because you can do it almost immediately without having to think it through and it buys you more time to figure out what to do for the situation. Reminds me to practice my emergency braking, it's been a while. Enjoying your current series!
@@TheSlab24 yes you handled it well. Just been offered to represent Indian motorcycle owners Australia's group from France .. plus a live interview in 2 weeks .. just hit 144 subs.. so watch out.. lol
Wow! Those tyres! Bloody hell! Perfect opportunity to do it traffic free for sure! And perfect weather for it too! I have unfinished business with that road, having crashed on it whilst on my L's and then limping back to the ferry at Queenscliff. I only got as far as Wye River before I turned around and I haven't been back there on two wheels since. But I did drive the entire road in a car 11 years after that in 2010.
That does sound like unfinished business. I don't intend to ride it again unfortunately, due to the other drivers - but overwhelmingly it's fine. I'd enjoy a Mr AusAdv Great Ocean Road video. The channel "Souls On Wheels" made some incredible videos about it recently.
This is one of my favourite roads !!! Have only ridden it 3 times…. Need to get back down there soon! The drawing in the beginning- on point 😂😂 Those tyres look sketchy but I’m sure you still had a ball riding x Bloody Camry drivers 😳😳😳😳 Thanks for sharing !
I can understand now why it's one of your favourites, wow! Yeah I did get more comfy with leaning and pushing - with absolutely no reason to think the tyres were magically improving..! Ah well, all worked out okay. Watch out for those Camrys!
Ride on the Great Ocean Road with all the 250s like the Suzuki - tu250x, intruder 250, vstrom 250, Mutt - green hilt 250, Yamaha - vstar 250, xt250, Honda - helix 250, rebel 250, cb250, Kawasaki - klx250. We all gerlz bikers had so much fun with small bike big adventure. This is one of the few greatest road ever built. 😘😘😘😘😘
Heheh that really is most of the set! I'd add the CBR250RR from the 90's in there. That road really is perfect for 250s since it's a road about flow rather than speed and 250s really get you in that flow zone. I also like that expression that it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than to ride a fast bike slow heheh! Small bikes on big adventures really bring out a lot of heart. I'd agree this road is one of the greats for sure. Happy riding and thanks for the comment!
Well done avoiding the homicidal idiot...! Gee, this took me back! I've driven the GOR a few times, last being in 2015, but the last time I rode it was back 1981(!) on a new Kawasaki Z750 L1. At 77 I'm still riding, these days on a 2011 VL250 and have just fitted a larger 16-tooth front sprocket to the bike, to make cruising a bit easier.
That Kawasaki would have been a blast on the Great Ocean Road. Great idea to fit a larger sproket to the Intruder - I considered doing it myself but never got around to it. Great to hear you're still riding, those VL250s are terrific fun and fantastic bikes I reckon. Thanks for watching mate and happy days!
I hope to do this road in either October or November this year. I have already done it in a car, so don't have to stop at all the scenic places, just want to ride the road. Great video by the way.
Thanks! That sounds great - it is a tremendous riding road as you know and not feeling compelled to stop at all the nice views would be ideal for the bike ride. Have a great ride there!
Nice ride. As to the idiot Xing the DL, I've seen it many times. What was the pucker factor? Had one recently that did it and he hit a pickup truck. Ended his life and messed up the guy in the truck. In a hurry to get to hell I reckon. Good beat!!!
No pucker actually, no adrenaline, just dealt with the problem and rode on. Not sure what that means that I was so calm about it through it, but I'm sure there's a "pucker threshold" heheh. I like the tunes in this one. Ride well mate.
Yep, that's a 250cc - surprisingly capable machine this one. Lacks torque of course and it's buzzy at high speeds, but it's a simple-design air-cooled carby v-twin that just keeps on going. Actually a really fun bike to ride - but definately not a bike for the freeway.
Nice work mate, one of my favourite rides
Cheers mate! I can definately see why this is one of your favourite rides!
Your mapping skills are incredibly well-developed.
Captain Cook would have been proud presenting a map like mine to the Queen on his return..!
@@TheSlab24 They would have claimed the country instantly instead of waiting for the USA to become independent.
Nice flow to the video man, good camera angles and a nice tune to compliment everything else! ✌️
Hey cheers! I didn't have any mounts for this bike, so I used a wrist-strap GoPro mount - will be using it again I reckon.
So beautiful mate...but those tyres haha oh no. Great video 🤙🤙
Cheers mate! Those tyres should have been prised off those rims a decade ago at least - very dodgy. Gorgeous road for sure!

18 year old tyres, what the hell!
Stunning part of the world! I lived in Melbourne for six years, however I’ve only driven that road.
Would be nice living in Melbourne, is an interesting state and city. Getting a lot of work here lately.
Spectacular road mate. One day I'll do it.
Certainly worthwhile. Just be sure to do it on a weekend. You could easily spend three days riding this road one-way, you'd love it.
@@TheSlab24 I'm planning a two week ride to do it. We'll see when I can actually get a two week break.

That has to be one of the best motorcycle riding roads in Australia.. 👌
