    A lovely flow through this video mate, showcasing the riders and the stunning rural landscape.
    That tiny little town is trapped in time, and that’s what makes visits so endearing and memorable.
    We all should make more effort to stop at them. ✌️

      Thanks, yeah there's some amazing places out there. Some interesting ones on an upcoming video riding home to the east coast - takes me through the sparsely populated east of South Australia on the Mallee Highway. Keep on riding!

    The Midnight Oil House always pops up on the internet somewhere! I'll have to get there at some stage as the Diesel & Dust tour was the first concert I ever went to. 1987 Festival Hall in Melbourne.
    I do love the old country towns.They have a uniqueness to them that you just don't get in big towns.
    Looked like a great trip mate!

      This was a great trip and a real pleasure to ride with some terrific people. Midnight Oil and INXS were my first concerts not long after that - at the tennis courts in North Adelaide where concerts used to be held in the day if they were too big for the main theatre. As far as old country towns go, this one really hits the spot. It's a nice place. Thanks for the watch!

    and yes, that freeway surface is a nightmare on nobblies 🤣

      Thanks mate! On nobbies, I can't even imagine..! Interestingly, I got told that old-fashioned cross-ply tyres track very straight on messed up surfaces like tar snakes and such.

    Hey Nic, nice video. Twisties, we all love 'em. Small town ;) And that museum had some bikes that looked like they could tell some real interesting stories.
    I don't know why, but that CT125 really stood out to me, like it was saying "Sit down and listen to my tales." I'm guessing that owner told ya some interesting things that you didn't relay.
    And it appears everyone was riding with stock seats? Tough backsides is all I can say......

    • @TheSlab24
      @TheSlab24  2 года назад +1

      The South of Australia doesn't at all compare to the twisties of the east coast, but there are some dotted spots here and there with some great twists in them. Didn't get any history on that CT125 but like you say no doubt it has many stories to tell. The owner of the museum had detailed history on practically all the bikes, very knowledgeable. Yep, stock seats all round - Wayne's bike looked most comfy and Pasc insists his seat is excellent on the Triumph. Mine could use replacing on the Shadow and John's was not at all what I'd call comfy on the Moto-Guzzi..! Hope you're well mate :)

      Hey thanks! Yeah they're a great bunch of blokes. Pasc is in the second-half of my Tasmania video series as well, we used to perform in a band together back in the day. All those bikes are beautiful in their own characteristic ways, fun group to ride with. Was a pity Wayne could only be with us on the initial ride out, was hoping to spend more time with him too. Happy days!

    Hey Nic thanks for dropping in on my newbie channel. You have an awesome channel here and this video is really polished! I've subscribed. Cheers Andrew BTW I took a photo of that house (the midnight oil one unbeknownst to me) when there was a field of canola around it and it looks like a child's painting... Must have been about 20 years ago.. I have it on my fridge.

      That is awesome - it's a picturesque house and I can imagine with the canola field it would make a striking photo, very cool! Your Harley Sport Glide is a great looking bike - I've subscribed to your channel too, cheers mate!
