Hey there, just wanted to say I noticed they left a fairly large hem on your new drapes. You could just take them to a seamstress and have them re-hem with a small hem adding the inch or 2 to your drape length. It was hard to tell from video but looks like you have a couple inches of extra fabric. That way you don’t have to lower your rods. Just do is SOON before the bottom edge of the curtain get worn or dirty because you don’t want to see a line where they let down the hem line. The Place looks beautiful, so happy for you guys. The views are so dreamy. I could just sit in there all day with that beautiful view of the lake, the gorgeous blue skies and right now with the added snow it’s spectacular!
You could even use a seam ripper and then tape hem them if you can’t sew. I sewed mine and it took like five minutes ❤

Seamstress here 👋🏼luckily hem is left wide specifically to leave room for adjustments on items like drapes (also leaves room to move to another space and extend or shorten). I know it'll be an extra expense, but if you take them in to a tailornto hem or even some dry cleaners do alterations, it's typically not too expensive to ask for 2" hem drop❤

Pull out couch from a sofa or furniture are KEY for guest room and storage in one space
If you don’t want to mess with the hems in the curtains you could add black rod iron O-ring clips and attach the curtains to those to slide from. Should give you the addition inches you need to touch the floor
I would just add a trim to the custom curtains bc they look beautiful at that height and it will just add a touch of detail at the end and look more elegant

In the first room, Remove the doors from the existing closet and integrate it as part of the IKEA built in. Take the IKEA bookshelf and lay it horizontally below the existing window to createmore storage space for bags/shoes, jeans. You can Stryker the top or add cushions for extra seating! If you’re thinking of putting in a vanity, do a mirror wall instead below the mini split and put a desk in front of it so you can remove the desk when you want more space, or style it and use it as a makeup/work desk area. 😊
I love how you've decorated the space. My own decor style is similar so it's good inspo. It's great to see the mixture of modern/contemporary with vintage pieces, you guys do it so well.
Shoe storage cubbies under a window bench, purse wall to the right of the window, & clothes on the blank wall.
Turning a closet into a murphy bed is also great for a guest room that functions as a filming room when guests arent around. ❤

I think your knife find is a vintage pickle knife. Can spear or stab pickle, and also open lid or jar with it. THIS CONSOLE TABLE IS PERFECT!!! The tray with handles would be pretty to station hand soap/dish soap, or elevate the style of the new utensil holder and put a lil candle beside, or olive oil container, etc.
Some cutie plants would look amazing on the shelving! ❤ that’s the one thing missing! Plants 🌱🪴🪻🌿

Idk if anyone has said this already, but you could take the hem out of the curtains and make them longer that way. You can either take them somewhere or do it yourself and re-hem them. Then you don’t have to lower the bar!

Industrial Piping bars on the blank wall (installed into the studs) for hanging clothing. I would do shelving under the window and shelving on the wall with the AC around the units.
Your place looks lovely…Amazon has wireless sconces…also rechargeable light bulbs…and try to lower your hem on your drapes rather than lower your rod..or add a hem to the to the existing one
Idk if this could be more of a headache for you guys or if you'll like the idea, but you could always find some really pretty lace or fabric that you think will match and make a nice trim, and get someone to sew it onto the bottom of the curtains, which will then make them touch the floor. I agree that the height in which they are now looks really good :) But I think bc of ur quirky and super cool style, 😅🤩 that would add another bit of character to the space as well... just a thought 💖 Loving this 'moving in' series sm 🥰🫶🏽 x

How about curtain rings to lengthen them? The rings make it super easy to open and close them and they add a nice touch to the overall look.
The little pedestal bowl would be cute with cinnamon scented different sized pinecones, I did similar for my mom's house for Xmas she still has it up loves it 😊

In terms of layout, I think the second guest bedroom you showed is better for some ikea units IF they fit in height bc you can do that L shape/ U shape all the way around.
FOR YOUR CURTAINS, add some big hooks and it should give you some more length!
If you don't want to alter them, you can also try matte black curtain clips. You'll gain a couple inches :)
Take the hem out of the curtains. Steam the bottom and you will love it!!! I did it recently and you can’t tell they look amazing!!

You can let out the hem of the curtains to add the extra inches. That what I would do you save money by reordering new ones
I would let out the hem at the bottom of the curtains. It would add length.
Have the curtains hem redone. A local dry cleaner can do it that alteration. That will give you a few more inches.
For your curtains you can get them re hem on the bottom!! Instead of lowering the rods
Have you considered adding rings and clips to your rods? That can buy you 2 inches in the drop.
Buy large curtain clips and they should just kiss the ground and you wont have to put any more holes in your walls.

Leave the curtain's, they look fine. If you really find you must lower them,, only go down 1.5 inch.
Let out the hem on the curtains! You don’t have to lower. Just let out the hem and maybe have a tailor put a small seem on the bottom.

Those night stands are too big and dark for that guest room. You should really put a mattress pad over your mattress to protect it.
I have a mattress cover that is waterproof and doesn’t have that crinkly texture! Game changer 😊 a lighter wood for the night stands would look nice as well!
