Man this looks like a pain. I now have a broken glow plug in my head and really hoping I don't have to do this job. Got the extractor kit coming in the mail. Fingers crossed. This is prob 5 times harder without taking the engine out 😢
Hello, Can this cylinder head be rectified, is this allowed by the manufacturer? Because many say that diesel engine cylinder heads cannot be rectified.
I'll work on creating a new video for the engine that's in the van that the new head is going on. The engine in the van has good cylinders and everything, so I shouldn't have any issues once I get it together.
at 1:09 as a kenworth mechanic instead of heating up the bolts, i wouldve just applied a 1/2 milwaukee high torque and sent er bud.

Great video! When is the next one coming out? Are you just replacing the head gasket or was there damage to the cylinders and pistons too?

You took the top cover off pretty easy! I have a broken injector bolt and was told I had to remove the head. Doesn't look that hard from this video
do you think this can be done with the engine in the bay?
Hey mate I'm about to take the head of my van off and would love to know how you went with it
I also would love to not have to remove the engine from the bay
Looks like a broken hold down bolt to me
