"Carmen Suite" was originally created for the legendary Russian Dancer, Maya Plisetskaya in 1967. Maya was one of the primary teachers to my coach, Olga Pavlova, while she was in training at the Bolshoi. Olga Pavlova learned the original choreography directly from Maya Plisetskaya herself, and has passed the beautiful and intense movement to me as her student. Here is my first run at it after only five private lessons.
