I just realized something (I'm probably too dumb of not noticing that earlier), New Zealand is the perfect tutorial and practicing space for people like me who just started properly getting into sim flying. It's a stunning place, and after the world update it's probably the most detailed place in the entire MSFS world. The island has everything you need to practice your skill. There are only 5 major airports but they all have beautiful handcrafted addons and are at the best qualities. And on top of all that, they are not huge international hubs so they won't eat up all your frame rates, and are big enough so you get to practice all the things you need. On top of that, places like Queenstown can offer some challenges and NZ weathers can also throw in surprises now and then. It's the perfect place to just learn how to fly and not be overwhelmed with all the other stuffs.
4:30 Unfortunately you can't get rid of this. It has to do with the real-time screen space reflection limitation. This occurs when a part of an image is "blocked" or not on the screen. Thus the reflection of the object can't be drawn. So in this case, it can see the mountain fine, but is having a hard time defining the boundary between the water and the trees/land. So it doesn't draw the reflection creating that line. This is one of the things that ray-traced reflections can solve.
Please do a video for the joystick settings like you mentioned in this video😀 That could be fantastic! By the way I missed your videos, it has been horrible without your vision of flight simulators and it has been a great day because I saw this video! I was thinking if something was wrong, but you are here with us. I truly mean you are my FAVORITE flight simmer out there, no one else is like you. Keep it up LUNA!😀🥳

Wow that's an incredible map pack! They've done an amazing job of capturing New Zealand's landscape, even down to the styles of the tree clumps and the layouts of the farms. I might have to try this game since I've recently upgraded my PC to a bit of a beast. I think it looks like good fun. Nice work mate :)
Very nice video, beautiful scenery too! I'm curious as why you only turned on the BAT and not the Alternator too? If you look at the bottom left of your MFD you're drawing current from your main and stand by battery. On the middle right of your PFD as well, you can also see a red annunciator. I'm not sure if MSFS simulates this, but if you were to fly long enough to drain your battery you would lose some of your systems. You're lighting switches seem to be reversed as well, the ON position should be when the switchs are pointing up. Other than that, great job! I understand this is a game and I'm not too sure how realistic you want to treat it, but I figured I'd share some thoughts from my experiences flying this exact 172 IRL. Cheers! :)
yeah as I said, i wasn’t doing everything by the book, i just wanted to get up and fly. I also need to remap my controls, the alternator was turned on on the physical button but not in sim.😢
Not sure about the reflections ...but i have raymarch reflections turned off ..seems to improve the defining line between coasts and water , to my eyes anyway lol Great video thanks again 👍 Ps. Would you do a settings video ? In regards to the tweaking your settings you mentioned.
As my home country I love this update so much!! Just been doing a lot of flights between Auckland Queenstown Christchurch and Wellington on the A320 and I’m blown away from the visuals and details ❤ only problem I’m having is the flightbeam Auckland airport and nza Christchurch airports are conflicting on my end 😢 not sure if it’s the sim it self or not. I get a ctd when I fly from Christchurch to Auckland. I’m on the Xbox series X not sure if anyone else is having this problem
Does the Orbx NZ Mesh conflict with new terrain data from WU12? I did start yesterday from an airfield and I was in the bushes so I'm guessing it does.
@@LunasWorld Are you using a payment scenario for this airport? I just installed update 12 and the mountains don't look that good. I have everything in ultra.
@@LunasWorld I found the problem. I had photogrammetry data disabled. It is the first time I use it. I just rediscovered msfs 2020. My head exploded. It's absolutely amazing in VR

I'm not sure, I'll look into it. If it does now, I'm sure they will fix it with Orbx being a partner of sorts.
