    What have I missed? what do you recommend I check out in Asakusa next time?

      hmmm,... I don't recommend but ... Kamiya Bar ... I HATE Japan drinking culture but Kamiya Bar created a special drink called Denki Bran ... Japanese people drinking too much, vomiting, and being dragged back home in the morning is truly the worst ...

      Cultural centre was crowded at the actual info desks but the observatory was empty! As if people don’t know it’s there!

    Another awesome video. I’m watching it on the Shinkansen on my way back to Osaka after visiting Kumamoto. I love Asakusa for the liveliness of the streets and temple. I adore a decent melon pan with ice cream♥️

    If you had asked me I would have said I don't think so. I did visit the Sensoji temple, so I guess I did. It was during my first trip to Japan and at the time Tokyo was just a big city to me. By your showing the different parts of Tokyo, I'm learning things I didn't know anything about. Tokyo is becoming more attractive through your content.

      Thanks Jim, I do continue to think that exploring the rest of the country is vital but there are many areas to explore in Tokyo that are worth the trip, Tokyo indeed is very diverse and there are still areas for me to check out!

    There are underground markets in Asakusa too, if I remember correctly.

    • @NinjaMonkeyguy
      @NinjaMonkeyguy  Год назад

      Underground as in black markets or as in subterranean?

      @@NinjaMonkeyguy Subterranean. There is an old fashioned shopping street underneath Asakusa station. Built in the 50's and pretty grubby.

    hmmm,... I think Asakusa is utterly artificial ... everything here was destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake and then by Americans during the Pacific War. But the temple here is dedicated to Kannon, goddess of mercy, so I kind of like it. The tourists don't seem to be Buddhist so I'm not sure why they come here ...

      Its got a nice streets that are different to shinjuku and Shibuya

      @@NinjaMonkeyguy hmmm,... Shinjuku and Shibuya are " high town " Tokyo ... Asakusa is " low town " so I think it's easier to build but anyway, I think Mitaka is much more beautiful and cultured ...
