    I have to admit I'm so spoiled with the Sunday Morning postings - when you don't post my wife and I wonder how you guys are. Perhaps an Instagram post or ad reminding us to tune in on whatever date for our next adventure. I'm so sorry you guys got sick - it did not look fun and OMGOSH Todd getting the water while you're sick - credit to you sir. My wife and I look forward to your upcoming adventures. We will keep you in our prayers.
    All the best my friends.

      Thanks for tuning in. We will continue to do our best to make Sunday mornings but sometimes this lifestyle gets in the way. 😅 Last week we were moving south to the Bahamas for six days and it’s very difficult to edit on most passages.

    We left Baltimore late in October headed south last (2023) and enjoyed the fall run south. Although we were cozy in our Pilothouse. 😊. Best part is much less traffic on the ICW this time of year. April we turned north on the Loop. This last October 1st we left Chicago down the river. Beautiful time of year to see the leaves change. Hit Mobile and came over to Houston for the winter. Read a lot of your notes in Navionics on the anchorage between Mobile and Houston. Thx for sharing.

    Ahoy Spoondrifters! We’re friends with Olive Juice who introduced us to your channel. We enjoyed the episode. We’re currently marina bound in Cape Canaveral, Florida and are a great stop over spot when transiting the East Coast. Please look us up at Port Canaveral Yacht Club. Shane & Tanya/SV Legacy.

    Great little pony tank, we caught our anchor buoy around our rudder in December in NC burrrr no wet suit. 2 pairs of jeans and a couple of sweat shirts. It worked

      We are 5’3”. Most were fairly soft but one pretty hard bump. Water seemed lower going south than when we went north.

    isnt those floating pumps with a long pipe and respirator a better option than that tank ?. I am no diver but just thinking about these issues precisely. You guys are a great example of how the Chesapeake looks a bit late in the season I was precisely telling my wife when we finally do it we want to be further south and she asked about you guys :)

      A hookah system is great for cleaning boat bottoms and such but it takes a bit more to get all set up. This is quick to just slip on in a quick emergency situation.
      Yes, we won’t stay so late again. One upside is the crowds have moved on. 😂

    Dismal Swamp? Are their rodents of unusual size?

    • @Spoondrifters
      @Spoondrifters  9 дней назад +1

      Nope, it’s what the first settlers named it and marked on maps. It would have been pretty foreboding to hack one’s way through by hand.
