thank you!!
thank you!
Thanks a lot .
BUEN SOLO NETA
thx brother
thanks man..lol.
toni had only a slight vibrato due to missing the tips of a couple of his fingers, so to get his sound you have to do the same.
Bad ass
@ScreenOfPerceptions
thanks man!
On this video I played through the Line 6 Spider 4 hd150 head & the Vintage 30 celestions cabinet. I started with the System of a Down Setting for "B.Y.O.B" then I tweaked it a little bit added just a touch more distortion & some delay. That guy's distortion tone was inspired by Iommi straight up.
cheers
@Alex425707
Hey Alex,
I'm playing through a Line 6 Hd 150 head & Cabinet with the Vintage Celestions in it & Several different sounds locked in to match the tone.
It was just a matter of listening to the original Sabbath Tone on that song off of the Paranoid Album & tweaking it to match it.
Then I added a bit more Punch to it.
Thanks for watching.
@ZxE73 thanks for the info! my guitars a G-310 epi sg. joined up with a sabbath tribute band so ive been trying to get the tone down just right. what kinda mxr pedals are you using?
@ShredManFretShredder
hey man, if I remember correctly, on this video I played out of my Spider 4 hd 150 & I started with the pre set for "System of a Down..B.Y.O.B" & customized it with a touch more distortion & some delay & changed the verb from lux spring to vintage. I'm sorry I don't remember all the tweaks I did. That base will get you near this tone, depending on your guitar of course. Live with my band, I use Marshall heads MXR pedals & a line 6 cabinet with vintage 30 celestions. thx
@slickansmooth
thanks bro & thank you for watching!
@DoctahJ22
I've got several dialed in here..
Just a touch of delay for the "slapback" not much reverb at all.
Tony did not use much at all as it wasn't really available then.
I've got some compression to emulate the tightness of the older amps.
Just mild distortion.
I think that's the majority on this setting.
A Good gauge on Tony's sound from those days in a modern band is "System of a Down" that guys sound is almost exact.
@NecroOrgyFienD666
Thanks brother..I tried to show all the riffs..but yea..there is that ending riff not on here.
I may put another clip up of it...with the intro also.
@thrakd
right on man. if you post a video of it, let me know.
Thanks brother!

How are you achieving this tone?

@ZxE73 Trust me, it's a compliment :)
@ganherngyih

@Alex425707
Absolutely.
Go to the User set for "BYOB"..to start.
The System of a Down Track.
That is a good start point.
Then beef it up & add some dig. delay.
If you want my exact Sets on it email me & I'll send them to you.
Your Guitar matters a lot too brother.
I play through an ESP Eclipse 2 with Emgs.
is that a mood ring?
@75sliver
No worries brother.
I didn't take it that way, anyhow.

@Rocker0For0Life
uh..thx?
@karlitozish
lol..no..but thank you!
EMG's are sounding so close to P90's. Interesting...
Freakin awesom. I wish i could play like that. If you want to - check out my solo cover of sabbaths n.i.b :)
amazing. Only thing I can note as constructive criticism is to work a bit on your vibratos (when on your low e). Spot on sound though!
yea 1 half step like the recording.
