Saying that “This is not a good look for marriage” is the understatement of the century. If Tom Brady can’t keep a marriage going, then who can?
What it says is the same thing we knew all along. You can't marry women at your status level or they will hold power over you. Tom decided to go after basically the top women on the planet(top wealthy supermodel who makes more than him). If Tom married a regular girl she would let him do basically anything including sleeping around(these arrangements are common with famous men who have regular unfamous wives/gfs)

Either she gets it by asking women who don’t know or are prone to lie, or from men, in which case men should be asking those men who have the actual knowledge.

Today the woman has no economic need of the man, especially in her case, so men will have to make an effort because the marriage of the future will be egalitarian.

They definitely need to reconstruct the marriage contract. 7 years with option years thereafter. This would be a great start. We need to get the Disney fantasy out of marriage contracts.
If you have the option to leave, why get married? This is a dumb comment. No logical man is getting married to a woman w/ this 7 year option contract. In fact, that’s no better or different than getting a prenup under current divorce law. Most quality prenups have time stair steps where different things trigger after 2-4-6-8-10 year increments. You’re not suggesting anything different. Besides 51% of marriages end before reaching 5 years. And women initiate 80% of divorces.
Do more brainstorming. A 7 year contract doesn’t help when the majority of divorces are filed before then.
What woman in her senses would marry under these conditions? But you can use your contract idea to lease a car.

51% of marriages end in divorce within 5 years. Women initiate 80% of divorces. If they are college educated they initiate 90% of divorces. Women win 81% of child custody cases. 93% of alimony is paid from men to women. 90% of child support is paid from men to women. There are cases where women cheat on a man, divorce him, he gets kicked out of the house, still has to pay the mortgage, has to move into a tiny studio apartment, and the woman moves a new boyfriend in around the man’s children. Marriage was created to protect women when they couldn’t work outside the home. The marriage laws haven’t kept up w/ society.
The issue isn’t the 7-year contract, the issue is modern women are empowered to the point of being incentivized to leave marriage, and the wedding vows “till death do us part” now are literally meaningless. Also, the laws haven’t changed to reflect women in the workforce. Never sign a contract w/ someone who is paid to break the contract, because they will break the contract. And women are fickle and emotional and irrational. Never forget, “It is a woman’s prerogative to change her mind.”
Any man who gets married in the 21st century is dumb. Women are now having babies for and living w/ and having long-term relationships w/ men w/o marriage. Leonardo DiCaprio, Diddy, Floyd Mayweather, Jeff Bezos (post divorce), Andrew Tate, etc. More and more men see the stupidity of marrying a woman when women are no longer pure and willing to marry young, and more likely to divorce.

If you hate marriage so much don’t get married - I hear it’s not compulsory. In the west most of the children are already raised by single mothers and even within the marriages it’s the wives who usually raise the kids so I think the women are already wondering what the men are for? 3-5 minutes of conception?
I think the divorce rate is actually 70-80% within the first 3 years, especially if the woman gets pregnant. Both sexes need to figure out why that happens. The women initiate divorce more often because we have higher negative emotionality and we can’t take it when the marriage goes bad, not because we enjoy being single mothers.
I have a four year old child and since I got pregnant until today I have not belonged to myself for a day - most of my attention and energy goes into the kid and I have hardly been able to do any proper work in between the way I used to when I was single. And this is how it’s going to be for at least another 5 years because that’s how you raise a child, unless you toss it to daycare and school full time for someone else to raise it. So in case of divorce, I’d better get compensated.

The truth is most women like the one that is speaking are too immature for marriage. I’ve found professionally that women are more immature than men. Marriage is by far harder for men than it is for women. Imagine a life where you can do everything not get gratitude and still be told or made to feel like you’re doing something wrong.
