This convo is very telling as it shows who values successful relationships and who doesn't. Marriages often involve compromises and agreements. Who can't see that it seems like this couple had an agreement concerning Tom Brady's retirement and he went back on his word to stay in longer to ring chase. The question is what is another ring going to do for him. Tom Brady is miles ahead of any other player in terms of SuperBowl championships. For Giselle it might not just be a concern over family time but also over the health aspects. All it takes is one final hit and that could affect him greatly. If that happens who is going to care what the outside world thinks. None of us will be there helping to take care of him. His family will. Also rings don't talk back or spend time. These are rich people. They don’t cook or clean or do house work, they live in a house so big you can get lost in it. Their kids goto fancy private schools driven by chauffeurs and their meals are all cooked by private chefs… Tom made the right choice, he chose what he loves the most, the most consistent thing ever in his life, football. It's not just about the money. Brady is in year 23, the QB position wasn't as protected in the early 2000s as it is today. Tua is 3 years in and there's already questions about his long term health. Tom is the most sacked QB in NFL history. Those injuries, knacks, and bruises add up. Getting hit and hurt in your 40s is not the same as in your 20s, things don't heal properly and it takes longer. The bill for the punishment he took over his 23 years and playing into his mid 40s will be due when he's in his late 50s or 60s.
Also Tom is already the undisputed goat, he not really playing for his legacy or money anymore. His already at the top of the NFL mount Rushmore. He really doesn't need to be out there.

My take is being in the NFL is is tough on families. You can’t expect your spouse to constantly follow and take care of everything and you not compromise. But that's the thing. Gisele was famous and wealthy before Tom Brady came into her life. She doesn't need Tom's money, or financial support. What she needs is emotional support, physical presence, and for him to be a family man. When you play professional sports, that's not who you are FULL TIME. Outside of pure passion, there is NO reason for Tom Brady to be playing football. He owns every major offensive record in the NFL you can set as a QB. He's made more money than any player over the lifetime of their career. He's won more championships and has more Superbowl MVPs than any player ever.
Given all those facts, you can legitimately say that he does NOT want to be at home raising a family and having to deal with his wife on a day to day basis.
She had 2 times the net worth of him, and still does. Money does not a relationship make. It can lay the foundation for one but you need presence and need to honor commitments you have made to your partner in terms of promises, whatever they may be. If my partner promises something and then doesn't try to follow through in a understandable manner I'd be out of there too, since I ain't letting myself get disrespected like that.
