- Hey everyone! Welcome back to another video! Today this video's topic is about the DC-8 of the airline with the hockey stick, Eastern Airlines. This plane was one of the first jet aircraft of Eastern Airlines. The plane would proceed to operate the plane on their routes on the eastern coast as well as the Caribbean. This plane served faithfully for the airline until 1973 when the last one was sold to ONA. This video and series is inspired by Scaring Crab & Ibirdball. Anyways, hope you enjoy the video :)

Hey Sideshowbob 24, thanks for taking my recommendation for Eastern Airlines Douglas DC-8, and about the other requests that I put down in the Finnair McDonnell Douglas DC-9 Fleet History, you don’t have to do both, just do one or the ones that you want to do
It was a great airline and Iiss it. 16 years at DCA
I was actually just watching Airport 75 and they showed an Eastern DC-8 on the ramp at Salt Lake City so I’m thinking when they were filming in Airport 75 must’ve been in 1973 I’m guessing
AKA Scaring Crab's cancelled plan(?)
Idk it was…
I thought they would operate the dc 8 longer than that...
They made some leases in 1976 but those only lasted a few months
@@Sideshowbob24 mhmmmmmm... not sure of that.
@@proudlycanadianaviator is there anywhere where you saw that it said eastern kept it longer?
@@Sideshowbob24 A lot of Us carriers had it for a long time. example:United
