I don't know everything about German WWII tank tactics, but I highly doubt they would have humped a tank column without scouts and infantry support into a town that appeared to be cleared out. If they were that stupid, they would not have taken nearly as much of Europe as they did. Hiding the tank in the haystack was a smart way to get one shot on the German column. The hay offered no protection and the flash would have given away their position on the first shot. There is about a 500% probability that would have drawn fire from multiple Panzers faster than they could back up and retreat.
People below talk about "Fury." That was a good movie, but it had some unrealism too. The scene in the field where the machinegun nests were set up in the open even though there were thick woods or hedgerows behind them was cinematically a cool looking scene, but the Germans were masters at shooting from locations that couldn't be seen. The only protection the nests would have had from the American 75mm tank guns would have been to hide deep enough in the woods that the gun flashes couldn't be seen. The concept of "if you can see your enemy, he can see you" was well known at that point.

With another major cost cutting measure being the fact that only the commander's tank have a short ranged radio to really only signal to the local HQ. The most common example of such is a vast majority (even persisting in post-war production) is armor welds being done so bad that if the absolutely trash tier quality of the armor plating didn't shatter in 4-5 hits from HE rounds then the welds would come apart first.
P.S. the t-34 wasn't a 1930s tank, it was originally a 1941 design that got very minor upgrades by 1946 before being phased out very quickly. I will say however the IS-2 was actually a pretty good overall tank. T-34 was hot trash though.

Early Soviet campaign the T34/76 was actually better than most of the German tanks. It's only matching battle tank was the Panzer IV with the long 75mm high velocity gun. Unfortunately for the Germans over 2/3 of the Panzer IVs upon the initial invasion of Russia were still outfitted with the short stubby low velocity 75mm meant for HE and infantry support. The Panzer IIIs with the 37mm and 50mm were also outmatched. German high command had actually warned Hitler about the need for up-gunning the Panzer IV to long barreled high velocity 75s: they'd noticed shortcomings during the France campaign. Hitler wasn't willing to wait another year for retrofitting all the IVs though, or for the continuing development of the Panzer V. By Fall German command also noted the need for wider tracks to combat the Russian mud bogging down tanks. Fortunately for the Germans Russian command was so mismanaged and their tanks so poorly deployed it helped negate the advantages of the t34/76, and by the next year the high velocity 75mm was excellent at killing the t34, though I'd still class the t34 and Panzer IV as an equal matchup.

When you read the books of the New Testament you have probably asked yourself many times: "Why is it that for 2000 years we have not seen the miracles that accompanied the Church of Christ in the first century as the New Testament describes them? Why is it that so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed, while atheists have the audacity to deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Church of Christ ceased to exist after the first century. There is no Church as it is described in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other Christian sects, claiming to be the Church, but not having that one thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic only for the Church of Christ - the backing of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mk 16:15-20). That is why part of the researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and part of them do not mind to declare Him a real person, but an ordinary philosopher, a teacher. But even if Jesus was an ordinary philosopher, His disciples would have been ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not have dared to write about the miracles that not only Jesus but also His disciples could perform. If in our time there were a Church as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed - healing the sick, prophesying, raising the dead - no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then all over the world there would be the same disputes as in the first century - Jesus is the Son of God or a false prophet who seduces the world with miracles.
Find on youtube the audio message *"The Mystery of the Church of Christ"* . It reveals the prophecy of the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the End of the World, giving hope to all who are sincerely seeking God and who are not lazy to think freely.

Nice production values.... too bad this movie along with a whole bunch others are just orc propaganda portraying how they single-handedly defeated Germany in WW2.

up to this point, most of the films about WW2 were about how the US won the war by itself with one Sherman tank defeating 10 to 20 tiger tanks...

Literally 80% of Germans died on the Eastern Front, they didn't single handedly do it but it was very close, and before you toot the land lease horn, it only amounted to 4% of all the Soviet material of the war. They had incredible amount of factories in the Urals, Siberia, Caucasus and such.

You need to learn about the Eastern Front boy, you obviously don't know jack shit about it. Germans broke there after Moscow, Stalingrad and Kursk and were on a constant retreat from there on. Nobody denies that Western Allies had one part to do with the victory against Germany but compared to the Eastern Front it was crap
