What a great scarf/shawl! I just found your video yesterday and I have 2 going simultaneously. One is for me and the other for my sister. The latter I'm using a 3 weight baby Llama yarn with a 5mm hook. It's turning out beautifully! She'll be using it to keep her neck and shoulders warm when it's chilly so the 3 weight will keep her warm. I decided I'm going to make each of my 5 sisters one in their favorite colors using a different 3 weight superwash merino yarn. It's more like a heavy 2 weight to me but it's quite soft and squishy. Can't wait to start them. Thank you for a great pattern and tutorial.
Just want to let you know I made one of these. Thanks for sharing. Everyone that has seen it has paid me beautiful complements. Thanks again I love your work!
Iv already made this baktus last year for myself in mohair, I'm making another for my nana in law so came back to this video for a re - fresh and realised I didn't thank you, ..so Thank You Oana
I bought sock yarn and then decided socks were a little frustrating for me so I am going to make this instead!!! Very excited! I also love your accent!
I'm making one for my grandmother. ( Autumn Red from Caron Simply Soft, using a 5mm hook ) At first I had a problem with row 7 but I watched the video again and again and figured it out. I'm going to make more! Love this Pattern. Thank you Oana
I adore you because you are smart and courageous to dare to speak English - And in a didactic and wise way you explain how to - And the result is very nice even though it's gray and very simple to crochet
Thank you SO MUCH ! I am a advanced beginner and I am so excited to start this project, as soon as I finish the 3D scarf I am making from your tutorial on 3D stitch I will be making this...THIS WILL BE XMAS gifts for the ladies in my family ( + my BFF of 40 yrs) so I am praying it comes out as gorgeous as yours!! Thanks for going through the entire pattern on the tutorial!!! It MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE for us newbies. We can replay to make sure we are doing it correctly and or find out how to correct mistakes!! I LOVE a simple stitch worked into a beautiful project that comes out MUCH more "fancy" then you would think a DC would give!! Great pattern! Love it! I wish we could post pictures of our projects we make after watching the tutorial! How about a scarf with 1 EASY cable stitch down center! ?? I would SO LOVE THAT!
I just finished making the scarf. You said it best, it’s soooo easy but soooo fancy! The results are beautiful, your Tutorial so clear, And you are so generous to share your talent and designs with us. I was lucky enough to have some hand spun, undyed alpaca yarn in my stash that turned out to be just perfect. I also love the various ways I can wear it. Thank you Oana!!!!
I was wondering what pattern i could use with a beautiful #2 yarn I bought and I found your video just at the right time! When I finish it I will post a photo to you! Thank you very much for sharing you talent!
You are amazing. I love this pattern. I just started working on it. I used the same grey color to make it for myself. So excited to see it finished. I only made one change. While working in the chain one spaces, I decided to work only in the back loop of the chains as well. I thought it'll keep the ridge consistent. You know what I mean. Anyways, Thank you loads!
I've been searching for over a week for the perfect triangle scarf for this particular yarn I have... I cannot tell you how thankful I am that I found your video... THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR!! I subscribed and rang the bell as fast as I could!! Thank you so so much!!
Excelente tutorial! I don't speak english but I have understood and enjoyed It. Thank you so much. I have muy first shawl. I LOVE It!
thank you Oana, for this beautiful Baktus scarf, I am very happy with this, because I am only 1.60 m the usual shawls are all too long .... I am a big fan of your youtube channel, you English is very good, better as mine haha,I almost finished it, then I dare a harder one of you! you are a super good teacher, greetings from Anja from the Netherlands!
After starting several of these scarves/shawls, I have discovered that the edge that goes around the neck looks much better if you go through both loops of the first and last stitches instead of the back loops. It's a lot of weight and stress to put on one strand of yarn. I love this pattern though. I have 4 on the hook as we speak.
This looks like an excellent shawl that I have been looking for thank you so much & it does have the ability to be modified if you want it to look jazzy but this is just what I’ve been looking for thank you🙏🙏🙏🙏💖💖
Oana thank you for such a beautiful pattern i just love it! i made it in a caron cake blueberry color way Just lovely. I will be crocheting more. Ciao.
Hello. Does the chain 2 at the beginning count as a double crochet and you only add 1 double crochet in the same stitch, or do you add two double crochets in the same stitch as the chain 2? Thank you 😊
Hello oŕna first is like to say I love your crouchet items and just bought some lovely d k yarn really like your Barak Shaw will it be ok to use d k yarn if yes shall I up my hook too a 5mm as you have done useing 4ply yarn thank you ornaments from Barbara
Hi, thanks so much for your amazing pattern! I just have one question. When you begin working on the row after the row where you skip a chain in between double crochets, do you begin by double crocheting in the chain stitch or the stitch next to that? My scarf begins curving upwards at this point and I'm not sure if double crocheting in the chain space is what's causing that.
My question is - is the DC the "long" DC with pull though 1 loop 1st then pull through the 2 loops and 2 loops or a regular DC?? I can't tell because you are crocheting at your own speed?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW...I REALLY want to make this over weekend
Love this scarf and will be starting one later today. Is there a written pattern as I may not have access to RUclips every day. Thank you for sharing your talent. Claudia in NYC
Thank you for this great scarf, it's just what I'm looking for. Pattern for elongated triangle scarfs are rarely to find. I just have a question. During the intro I've seen the a scarf or shawlette on the dress form behind you. I like it and searching in your channel after it. But I can't find it. Maybe I've overseen it?
I love this shawl/cape. I have been looking for something like this. Is there a way I can make it less pointed? More rounded? It all depends on the foundation row, but cannot think how to make it. I sent you a friend request on your fb. Thank you.
Hi Oana, thanks for this beautiful scarf pattern. I can't seem to find the written pattern on your website. Could you please send me the link. Thanks you so very much.
I can't find the written patterns for this, would someone mind posting me a link? :) Also, how would I adjust it to make it longer? I'm a beginner so have no clue how to do that kinda thing so ANY help would be HUGELY appreciated 😃
ok i am confused and trying to understand what i am seeing . there are basically 9 chains made for the foundation row and 2 chains are used for the "DC" ...perhaps. then there are 2 dc in that 3rd chain from the hook. so it looks like technically 3 dc in the first chain so then 2 dc increase are done in the next 2 chains till the 4rth chain which of course is the center and i make 3 dc there, then i see 2 dc increase in the next 2 chains so then in the LAST chain i only saw 1 dc made. not 2 or 3 . i am now confused i have 7 dc made before the 3 dc center and then only 5 dc at the other end. so do I crochet 3 dc at the last chain or 2 or only do 1 like I saw in the video. i really like to make this pattern. its rare to find one more pointed on the 2 ends then in the center :)
i did i watched it many times from the foundation point i even drew a graph while the stitches where being made. this is why i was only asking , is there 3 dc on the ends or 2 or...?
oh my gosh i just saw your made a comment.. you said the turning chain DOES NOT count as a stitch, thats the part i did not catch earlier.. I am so sorry for the misunderstanding
that's why I told you to watch &leasten to the video carreully, it's so easy, I'm so glad you did it, now you will see how fast it will grow up your scarf, happy crocheting! Oana
Can someone confirm the foundation chain count? I have 15 dc plus the two turning chains. Second row: 10 on each side plus 3 in the middle (plus the two turning chain at the beginning, which it is hard not to count). I am not a crocheter but this design is calling out to me. And, did someone work this not using backloop only? Does it make much of a difference in the look? I know backloop makes a ridge but I find backloop crochet so very slow. I could do this better if I had a row by row stitch count. And another question: The last three stitches in a row, does that include the turning chain 2? Or do I leave those 2 alone? Stitch count comes out even on both sides if I do not crochet in the top of the turning chain. Row 3: 14 stitches on both sides (plus the turning chain at the beginning of the row) plus 3 in the middle. Row 4: 2 turning chain - 18 st - 3 in middle - 18 st - I may just get this yet...
Do you have a written pattern for this scarf? I looked on your Blog page & Ravelry shop & could not find it. I thought it would make nice gifts for my nieces,

Hi Oana. I haven't watched the video yet, just the introduction, but I wanted to say I really like your curtains!
lol, thank you, I love them too, they are hand made too, but not by me, Oana
Really?! That's great!
I just made my first one!!!
I’ll look for you on FB and IG
Thank you for making this pattern gender neutral :) I also like that you can adjust the length and width if you want to. Have a nice weekend
very pretty and looks easy to follow. will it work with a worsted weight yarn?
Could I make this longer just by adding extra stitches to the foundation chain, or will that make it not work out properly?
Thank you for your instruction. Be well😊🤟
Hello. Does the chain 2 at the beginning count as a double crochet and you only add 1 double crochet in the same stitch, or do you add two double crochets in the same stitch as the chain 2? Thank you 😊
روعة اعجبني عملك سأتابع باستمرار شكرا 👏👏👏
beautiful for my son. thanks
Love it
Thxs so much was looking for a new poncho stitch. MZ DET

Very beautiful!
thank you for an easy scarf pattern. do you have a written version of pattern? thanks again M
Thank you, I can't wait to make this!
I love this shawl, I'm on my second one. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Me encantó no se ingles pero seguí sus movimientos. Por sus indicaciones de como ponerse muchísimas gracias
My question is - is the DC the "long" DC with pull though 1 loop 1st then pull through the 2 loops and 2 loops or a regular DC?? I can't tell because you are crocheting at your own speed?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW...I REALLY want to make this over weekend
it's the pull through 1 loop first then do the normal dc, it's the extended double crochet, Oana
Really very smart
I couldn't find the written instructions on your blog. Can you possibly post the direct link? Thanks:)
