Only Mark could write a song about the fast food industry and make it sound like an epic. Very cool guy and what an artist!

Mark Knophler must have an amazing memory. His music is very lyrical, wordy and not repetitive like most artists. He has to remember the lyrics and all of those notes on his guitar for each of his songs. Amazing artist.

The guitar tone, the phrasing, the fingerpicking, the incredible melodious lines...it's all of these things that make Mark Knopfler one of the greatest guitar players of our time, and a superb singer/songwriter as well.

No stress, these musicians make it look effortless. Name a modern attempt of an artist that could match these guys. Priceless talent.

Mark Knopfler is my hero. I truly LOVE his music, guitar playing, songwriting, story telling. The feel and emotion behind his playing is magical, to me. Heard the music of Dire Straits in ‘78 and fell in love with it all.

One thing I just noticed about this song is that, with its' catchy tune and upbeat first lyrics, you think it's going to be just a simple little tune, but by the time you get to the last verse, it's turned really dark. Mark, among all the other things he excels at, is an epic poet. There's just so much behind the lyrics that you can sense, and the fact that the tune is so catchy is sublime. What a genius!

Minor observation: always loved Mark's singing (ignoring his guitar mastery and songwriting talent for the moment). Always understated, sober - no grandstanding, just delivers the vocals in a steady, melancholy tone that really amps up the lyrics. A big part of his sound and the attraction of his songs. Keep on, Mr. K.
