The chemistry behind this is simple When sugar powder is drop in thus mixture than first sulfuric acid react with it and then nitric acid react with it. Sulfuric acid, a very strong dehydrating agent dehydrates water from sugar and only charcoal ( amorophous carbon) left. Now the nitric acid, which is a strong oxidizing agent oxidize it to carbon dioxide and reduce it self to the oxides of nitrogen and water. The Carbon dioxide is colourless so its fumes is not visible in this video but the fumes of nitrogen dioxide have brown colour and therefore easily visible to us.
@@aadityavsingh999 bhai hogi to vo bhi reaction lekin vo minor me hogi kyuki phle dehydration hona or fir oxidation hona jaada energetically favourable
Those fumes would have killed him very quickly if they blew in his face. Pretty crazy to do that without a respirator or suited up if that really is Nitrogen Dioxide like a lot of people are saying. Only takes 150ppm to kill someone with that gas. It forms Nitric acid when it comes in contact with the water in your body. From there the Nitrates change your hemaglobin into methahemaglobin which is not good for carry oxygen. So you burn in large exposures and the smaller exposures kill you in a few weeks to a month.
Bit of an exaggeration bro. He wasnt downwind, it was a windy day and also you can smell the gas. It smells sweet and like it would give you cancer, so naturally you get away from the smell. The only problem was that he wasnt wearing lab glasses.
When you react nitric acid(conc.) with sulphuric acid(conc.) nitrating mixture is formed which can be used to convert aniline to corresponding nitroanilines Aqua regia is formed when HCl(conc.) and HNO3(conc.) are mixed in 3:1 ratio respectively
The Reddish Brown gas evolved here is Nitrogen Dioxide. Also, Carbon Dioxide gas is released. And the blacky liquid substance formed was carbon; because sugar after getting dehydrated because of Sulphuric acid. (since sulphuric acid has a dehydrating property through which it can remove any water molecules from any susbtance and thereby leaving a black, charred residual of Carbon.) And Carbon dioxide was perhaps formd due to the oxidizing nature of Nitric acid.
I Don't Think It Will, Thiophanate-Methyl Has Nitrogen In The Form Of Amine (-NH-) Which Means Nitrogens Oxidation State Is (-3), In The Nitric Acid Used It's Oxidation State Was (+5), And Thats A Dramatic Reduction Reaction That I Don't Think Neither Sugar (Which Is Quite Weak As A Reducing Agent) nor carbon (A Good Reducting Agent Only Under High Temperature) Will Do, Aside From The Thiols Which means That The Sulfur Went From The (+6) To (-2) Oxidation State Which Is Also Quite Dramatic Using Such Reducing Agents (Though Carbon Can Reduce Sulfates To Sulfides In Extreme Conditions) And Such Temperature, I think The Nitric Acid And Sugar Will React to Make Oxalic Acid (Tiny Amount) And Sulfuric Acid Will Dehydrate Some Of The Sugar To Carbon, So Nitrogen Dioxide-Oxalic Acid-Carbon-and Carbon Dioxide Gas Are The Only Products
Don't do these type of experiments at your home without any safety it will harm you and yes please listen about the Bhopal Gas tragedy to know the untold story of 1984
Bro, throw some cotton and toluene up there and let it simmer for awhile before you reach to add the sugar😁 Edit: bigger batches = cooler things happen. Like a litre of sulfuric, 700ml nitric and a 350 ml toluene. You'll be making superman powder in no time bro😊

Gorgeous looking background! Nice reaction too👍
Nitrogen dioxide
Reddish brown observation
Aqua regia : It can also dissolve any noble metal such as gold platinum etc
BTW this is the dehydration of sugar

Bro where you buy sulphuric acid please tell me
Ye konsa reaction hai? Brown gaas ki smell ?
Nitrogen dioxide or Bromine
Please make a video on Identification test of HCl
Woow
Its okay inhalating this smoke?
It's nitrogen dioxide. You'll die in a horrendous way if you inhale it. If that's okay to you go ahead.
