- Thermal Imaging Camera locating a water leak behind a tiled wall for a plumber.
Quote "Helped me find burst breech piece in wall in 30sec testing. No nitrogen testing required.
Test procedure: Turning on hot tap, then immediately found water leaking into back of tiles and down wall to saturate carpet approx 2m away using camera only!
Thermal Imaging camera showed the warm square patterns of the water leaking down glue cavity behind tiles.
I cannot live without it now. No plumber should be without one. Best tool award of 2012"
Tim - Plumber, Lindfield

Where is the leak and how do you interpret the thermal data. I just see hot pipes. Where is the leak? An explanation would be helpful. Thanks
It is a Flir i7 Thermal Imaging Camera. We carry a large range at The Jetters Edge in Belrose. See the range on our web site.
It views the surface temperature from a heat source behind the wall. It does not see through the surface. Check out the link in the video description.
Buen día. Te muestra la temperatura superficial del azulejo (lo de arriba lo que uno ve) o la perdida por de tras del mismo.
Thanks for the vid.
Thermal imaging of course, why didn't I think of that? I gotta get me one of those gagets.

They use same technique to find leakages.
The problem is you might need it once or twice, and the thing costs 100s $. Unless you can rent on for 10-20$, you'd have to call a plumber who carries one.
You can rent this for $86 per day at Home Depot.
