Here's an observation which might blow your mind.
Slow down an ambient tune from Deus Ex by a factor of 10 and it becomes suitable for an ambient tune in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
That would be the cheapest soundtrack ever

Slowing down this track is like making the Deus Ex universe in a state of stasis and stretching it across space and time, so it continues to live on.
After so many years, i still discover something new about this legendary game.

This video demonstrates that if you slow down a synth-heavy electronic soundtrack you get a mantra-like ambient piece.
This also explains why many Krautrock/Kosmische Musik bands of the 70s (Popol Vuh, Ash Ra Tempel...) started as prog bands with Moog sperimentation and ended up doing music with slow, intimate and philo-Indian sounds.
