In regards to the rifle the old lady is holding, the top down view of the receiver looks like an M1 Garand.

Yep as I said in the video he's a super actor and I hope they keep him around for a while. He's worked with Nolan before too.
Person of Interest was my favorite show for a while, and he was so great in that as well.

The new old lady character seems to be wearing tribal jewelry that harkens back to the Arroyo Elder of Fallout 2. Perhaps she is a former tribal.
Most people seem to be saying medical bag, but bowling bag does fit the theme as you say.

Really wonder why there's no mention of the NCR, even if it fell after the events of new vegas there would still be some reference to it
In one of my earlier videos I did show the NCR flag, so we know they will be at least mentioned.
As you said they could be greatly reduced or long gone by the time the show is set 14 years after the game.
Walton Goggin's character Copper Howard has been established that he is actor that is in Western Movies according to the fandom wiki on the character.
That's the same guess we made here. I think it's the best theory given what little we have seen so far 👍🏻
Is it possible that you could cover or talk about that 1HR long Galaxy News Broadcast they made recently?
I had been coving everything but there has been so much new info in such short time I've struggled to keep up. I plan to look at everything in that video and there are two recent interviews with the cast and main writer I want to cover too. THat had a ton of positive news.

The receiver is of a M1 or M1A(M14)style or even a mini 14, fallouts version of the combat rifle.
That seems to be the consensus, many thanks for the spot. It could be a nice little tip of the hat to Fallout Tactics and New Vegas.
I wonder if the black & white scene with Goggins will explain the setting/alt history of Fallout. I feel like newer fans will be pretty lost without some kind of introduction. Lots of fans that have even played the games dont really get it
I agree it's a deeply misunderstood setting. Especially by the fan base! 😆 I was just saying in another thread, I wonder if they will have some kind of narration at the start to get some of the basics across?
@@FalloutPBCthis fallout show has some lore breaking issues, that make no sense to some fans who are big lore lovers.
Here’s some things that I mean: How in the god damn did the west coast brotherhood (who are pretty weak) get their hands on a second version of the prydwen or “caswannan” cause the prydwen is a one of a kind airship made by the East BOS chapter from a nuclear reactor, aircraft carrier parts, and ruins from the Mobile Base crawler at Adam’s Air Force base. Now how could there be two massive airships made from a single M.O.C, are there another M.O.C’s around the LA area at an AFB.
Another lore breaking issue is the fact that the Brotherhoods mission is to haggle and hoard technology so another Great War cannot occur, (by somehow keeping it all for themselves). In the show’s description it talks about the B.O.S being basically the police of the wasteland. Which is not true at all, hell the enclave did a better job at policing the wasteland.
My final issue with this tv series that is probably the biggest issue I have with it: WHERE IN THE HELL IS THE NCR, last I checked the NCR absorbed LA in the earlier fallout games, so why is the west brotherhood out of their bunkers patrolling NCR territories like they are the main superpower faction of the wasteland, when they aren’t. (On the west coast that is)

@@wardaddytankman1269 I have a lot of respect for him as a film-maker and a writer, he has a lot of ability. But I can't entirely agree with a lot of his takes on the games and lore.
This NCR thing is a prime example.
Firstly it's only the first teaser trailer, we haven't even had a full trailer yet. In one of my earlier videos I showed the NCR flag, so we know they are at least in the show to some degree. Plus the NCR was in a real mess by the time of NV and that was 14 years before the show, they could be long gone or greatly reduced in size and influence by now.
Still, we see the BoS in a battle with someone in the teaser that could be the NCR for all we know at this point.
Either way the NCR could be almost gone, still very prominent or somewhere in between. Anything is possible and whatever choice they make they certainly wont be breaking lore in any way.
Rifle looks like the top of an M1A maybe m14? The doc is holding a vintage medical bag.

Super Duper Mart would make a lot of sense for the ice cream sign. That said the rest of the walls are all blank with no shelves, signs, baskets etc, all the bits we usually see. The ice cream sign is a bit of a strange one.
@@FoxWolf2020 I wonder if it could be the Ice cream factory? My original idea of the train station was because of the train station we saw in the earlier pictures. They seemed to be taking bodies around on strechers.

I would imagine given the vast amount of parts and the relative simplicity of a basic washing machine, there would be a few people around with working examples. 👍🏻

I think you are right. One of my other supporters noticed that too. I can't believe I missed it. I think my eyes must be going. 🤓 I had a picture of him as a scientist but medical doctor makes a lot more sense.
The only real plot seems to be, can the little girl make it in the waste land to find her herself? It’s basically the Post Apocalyptic version of the “Mary Tyler Moore Show”… Lou Grant only has one eye though.
We don't know much about the story at the moment but we do know it follows the three main characters in a quest for some kind of device. ( Perhaps a G.E.C.K )
So, if the rifle the old ladyis holding is the one I THINK it is, its either a garand or a Mauser. Top fed with strip clips. I own the latter..

The show looks awesome. Looks like they put a lot of money into it. Hope it’s gonna be a big damn fun and they don’t try to screw themselves by pushing some stupid agenda if they don’t do woke stupid shit like that I think it’ll be a hit just from looking at it. It looks good. Looks like they’re trying to stick very close to the game too so they’re not trying to change a bunch of stuff I thank, bravo
I was very cautious at first but as we have seen and heard more I've grown more confident it will be a faithful adaptation. Everyone I have seen interviewed seems to say how much time and trouble they put into getting it right. Nolan is a fan, he worked closely with Todd, they had a lore expert from Bethesda on set at all times and the main writer is a big fan too.
As you said, Amazon has put a lot of money into the project and left them alone to get on with it, which is rare for a platform. It all looks positive so far 👍🏻
Seeing Vault 4 was a surprise. I got that 50s movie star vibe too.
I wonder if we will see anymore of it than just the number on the door.

I'm going to make a wild guess that the person in the white lab coat running through the snow is Virgil the super mutant scientist from fallout 4 and he has Dogmeat with him

its the doc we see here with dogmeat. lucy meets him after nightfall at the red rocket where he proceeds to speak to her about what happened to the world and dogmeat goes off and gets 'dinner' in the trailer. that bit of road is from a red rocket production shot in a magazine 6 months ago. her, walter, and maximus must make an epic quest across the us, moving to a new zone every season, meaning they may run into new vegas in the season 2 trailer moving east towards dc or appalachia.
@@KazeMunashii That's an interesting idea. The writer did mention they have only scratched the surface of the lore in season 1 and there is so much more they are saving for future seasons.
Yes, thats an incredibly wild guess lol. I dont think we'll be seeing any characters from Fallout 4. Especially characters that might not even be human depending on an purely optional quest.
Very doubtful we will see any fallout characters from the games, the show is on the west coast so I hope to see factions from new Vegas at the very least but they might save the NCR and Ceasars legion for season 2

There are many BRAND NEW outfits in Fallout 4, so many it annoys me! I don't think there has ever been an explanation as to how or why brand new clothes are all over the Commonwealth but they are there all the same.

I'm just happy to see they cast a German shepherd as Dogmeat. I was afraid they'd bring in a French poodle or Yorkie in the name of diversity.
Here's hoping they make an entertaining show and not just a vehicle for "The Message" with pop culture dressing.
Yeah " The Message " has been mentioned a lot. These days it's always a worry.
If the trailers and all the interviews are anything to go by I do not see any sign of it (so far). Nolan seems to be a fan ( although limited to Fallout 3 ) and Graham Wagner the showrunner has clearly been playing the games for years and seems to have a good take on the tone of Fallout.
Bethesda had a lore expert on set for every day of filming too. So it's looking good so far. Fingers crossed.

Next year is going to be a presidential election year in the US, so I'm a bit suspicious. I remember what they did with the Netflix Daredevil series, trying to do a parallel between the Kingpin & the Orange Man.

Wheres the NCR?
The NCR flag is in one of my earlier videos, so they will feature in some way. But this is 14 years since we have last seen the NCR, they could be stronger than ever, greatly reduced in size or even long gone. It's all possible.
@@FalloutPBC in the real world, losing a battle or a war isn't usually the end of a nation, I will be angry if they make this the case
@@loganzentgraf3708 True but as I said in an other post, the NCR had massive problems in NV they had over-expanded, they had a huge manpower shortage, their currency was failing, they had rampant corruption and the people had lost faith in the leadership. Even their own predictions were an eventual complete collapse.
Things were looking grim to say the least. But as I said perhaps they will say they turned it around and they are still a power? It's only the first teaser trailer and we can see the flag as I said, and we see the Brotherhood in combat with someone, that could be the NCR, so it's all still possible at this point.
@FalloutPBC the USA has a lot of these problems, the NCR reflects real world America and all of its problems, America is still THE world power, vegas was just their Vietnam

Are the NCR your favorite faction?
Another copy and paste story about a vault dweller forced to step out into the wasteland. Why has this become a replacement for good storytelling? Just because it’s fallout doesn’t mean everything’s gotta center on that.
There seems to be a common misconception that the show is all about Lucy. They have made it clear they wanted to show the wasteland from multiple perspectives, in a way trying to replicate the game experience to some degree. So it's an ensemble cast and all three main actors are co-leads.
( As you can see here with all of them appearing together at the game awards )
While the fish out of water vault dweller has been done many times for us gamers, it will all be new for the vast majority of viewers.
To be honest I would have found it incredibly strange for them to have not included Vault-Tec in the show, it's such a massive part of the lore and the story.

Thanks yeah that looks like the general consensus.
Probably should have stayed with the game and went with a male lead like The Kid from Vault 101. Not saying a female lead is bad, it's just not likely to appeal to the bulk of the fans of the game as I believe most are male and could relate better. (Been a fan since 2008). They could have got Kyle Rittenhouse to play the lead, he could pass for “The Kid from Vault 101.”

Todd Howard made it clear he didn't want any adaptation to be a direct remake of any of the game stories. He turned down a number of other studios over the years because they wanted to do a Fallout 3 or 4 film.
The head writer also recently said there isn't a lead actor as he felt that the show following one character wouldn't work. This is an ensemble cast with Lucy, The Ghoul and Maximus being this season's main characters.
