Thanks for the kind message and sorry that it's a struggle - been getting many comments saying the same. Wonder if heating it up (in the sun???) or a squirt of WD40 might help - I'm sure you've tried these already. Good luck with the sword in the stone
Ooer, thanks for the kind question Nathan - that's frustrating. If it were me, I'd probably try to pull it out with pliers and a squirt of WD40.. - it sounds like it's maybe out of the screw thread but not out? Hope you manage to find a fix...
Really sorry to hear this - that is really frustrating. Have you contacted Flymo? I'd be upset if I had to buy one of those bolt socket drivers for things like car wheels plus the bolt might be too big for one of those anyway. Hope you manage to find a fix.
I just bought the easiglide 330v today, ive put it all together and need to add the spacers but the bolt wont budge to get the blade off to put the spacers in. looking for help on here and your video shows it coming off straight away !!!!!! aarrrrrggghhhhhhh Im even more stressed now!
Agh that is so frustrating Susie - sorry to hear this. I dont know what to suggest: hopefully the video shows the right direction and I'm sure you've got the flymo spanner the right way round... It also sounds like its brand new so it's not been ground in by dirt Weird suggestion - you may already have tried this - would it be worth using it a couple of times to see if that helps loosen it? If not if it were me I would try a little squirt of WD40 around an edge of the bolt to see if that would help - but I'm not an expert. Would love to know if you do manage to get it off Thanks for the kind question and good luck!
@@daiboy8076 ah, success, I traipsed back up to Argos with the mower and the helpful young man there managed to free it off (although he struggled also). I’d obviously loosened it 😉
Thanks for sharing your advice. After several minutes of brute strength I finally managed to wrestle the tight bolt on the lawn mower. I fitted 2 spacers and the cut lawn looks even better! Cheers😊
Oh that's really great to hear thanks - and thanks for taking the time to leave a kind comment. Just changed another blade on a newer Flymo and it took so long to try to budge it! Good luck with the mowing and thanks again
Just bought a new flymo and because grass is long wanted to put the spacers on but can't shift the bolt it is on so tight, seem to have tried everything any suggestions please
Hi Suzanne Thanks for the kind question and sorry you're finding it difficult - I'm having a few comments where others are finding this. If it were me, I'd try squirting some WD40 on it wherever close to the thread of the bolt to see if that'd loosen it. Hope you manage to get it moving and good luck 🤞
This is our second flymo 300 we sent the last one back because the nut on the blade wouldn't budge. The nut on the blade on this new one still will not move to get the blade off.
Hi Yvonne - thanks for the kind comment and really sorry to hear this. I just got a new Flymo and had a really hard time getting the nut to move so appreciate how difficult it is. I had to use the old orange tool I had because the new one seemed a tiny bit thinner - and squirted WD40 down the side of the bolt. Hope you manage to get this moving.
Had this with me for a year and always felt frustrated that it could cut shorter today i seen this video and it has totally changed my garden look although cut my finger a bit while taking blade off but technology is blessing thankyou for this video now i look this machine and my garden 🏡
Hi Janet - thanks for the kind comment and really sorry it won't budge. A few others have the same problem and I just got a new Flymo and couldn't budge the nut! Have you maybe tried squirting some WD40 down the side of the bolt (if you have any! You can get small cans in the supermarket...) I've made a new video to show how I got mine moving, it did take a lot of effort. Wear gloves because I cut my hand!!!
Thank you for all your help I did put WD40 on it and I've managed to turn and get the nut off, my spacers are now on and the grass has been cut. Thanks again
After attempting to change my blade, my bolt is in an infinite loop and won't tighten or loosen. It has made the lawnmower unusable. Any ideas on how to resolve?
Hi Rory Thanks for the kind question and gawd, so sorry to hear this - that's really frustrating. I'm sure you've tried these but if it were me I'd try a squirt of WD-40 using the long straw to try to get it in to the thread And I'd even probably try to heat the blade up by leaving the mower upside down in the sun or by even more direct means! Just in case it expands the blade to loosen the grip... As you can see, sadly I'm not an expert. But really hope you can get the blade moving again
Just bought one of these and trying to take bolt/blade out to insert the spacers but the bolt will not budge. I’m turning it with tool that came with it anti clockwise as per instructions but it’s not turning! Help!

really appreciate it!
The bolt on mine seems to have been fitted by Thor. Even a proper wrench can’t unscrew it

Thanks Indrajith!
I can't get the bolt to budge and I feel as if I'm going to break-through spanner
Me too. Having the same problem
Slashed my fingers on this thing! Horrible mower
Really sorry to hear this - I sliced mine on a new Flymo trying to do this so I feel your pain, literally.
@DADDELIVERS they shouldn't come like this... It's dangerous! Anyway, luckily my neighbour sorted mines for me!
Rubbish.. nuts never that easy to undo
thanks
you make me feel strong
Oh thank god for you, I was about to take mine back to Tesco’s as I couldn’t get the thing to unscrew, and instructions are for aliens 🎉❤ x x x
Thanks for the very kind message Ali and really pleased to hear this -- hope you managed to get it budged!
Bolt won't shift. Tried WD, tried an adjustable spanner, tried brute force. It will not move. Where do I go from here?

Got a lawn mower repair man to shift it. Took him five minutes.@@DADDELIVERS
Same here
You'll have to use heat. Get a butane can and heat up the bolt head and then remove.
