Would've loved to hear the WA-19 on hi hats as this is one of the main marketing highlights (Ringo, etc.). I'm getting the black on in a few days, hopefully it's a keeper.
Try those 44's on brass such as trumpet. That is probably going to sound great. Used the real RCA one for that purpose multiple times and it was amazing. I like them as room mics too, or a drum recording where you want the tone and roundness of the drums but not too much transient and attack.
warm sounds like ass compared to coles, there's no reason to buy 44 especially when the price is similar. The D19 knockoff is even worse, warm audio products are something to avoid at all costs, behringer of semi pro audio
Why on earth would you lower the reputation of this great studio by bringing in anything from Warm Audio? Nobody has ever called me asking if I have a Chinese made clone of anything. But I get calls all the time from people asking if I have real gear.
Does he purchase these or just for a shootout. After the shootout they going straight back to the shop IS my assumption. The wa44 sounds a little hollow imo in comparison with the 67mic .
For any folks that are interested......please don't ever copy what this guy is doing at 1:47 when you're holding a ribbon mic. The ribbon is extremely delicate and can be stretched by waving it around carelessly.........honestly, you can trash a ribbon mic with one clumsy movement.
Loving the "dog cam" :-)
Right?!
1:48 best way to broke a ruban mic 😂
Awesome 🥹

2:30 Dog was like "Nah bro" the whole time you were speaking
The 44 on room had crazy low end
Great vid 😄
Great vid. I would have like to hear the 44 on kick out.
Plenty of time for that still! Ill be doing much more recordingsession walkthroughs on this channel!
The other? You should state which mic is the other. Kind of confusing.
Thanks for that review. What are the other mics (Kick) ?
Shure beta52 on kick in and akg c414 xls on kick out
You try an at4040 ?
Not yet, what sources do you like it on?
@@thomasvopstal midrange presence I like .
And it is strong for vocals and drums
The 57 has waaaay more body to it.
Don't like 57 on snare top as much as the warm 19 it has more top
There is a massive difference with the Colee! They. sound real musical. The Warm sounded like ass

I have been saying this for years.
