great video, clearly showed on the piano perfect for me as beginner. i ordered your book right away, so many thanks, and looking forward for other videos keep up the good work, and keep the blues alive greetz rudi
Many thanks, nice & clearly demonstrated at speeds that are, for novice players easy to follow. Keep em instructional uploads comin & for other readers, if you've not already got Arthur's book it's just as clearly presented and just as simple to follow & provides a real value for money excellent reference & learning source. Go buy it on Amazon or similar!
Really nice and easy to understand. Can slow down the speed and watch your hands and it's pretty easy to understand. Great tutorial. Love the "Got My Mojo Working" Love your version and Otis Spann has a great version on a tack piano.
Arthur, I have a long way to go to get some of the amazing RH trills you pull off. In time. But I do something in the LH that I really like for color. Instead for the classic Bb-A-Ab descend I like a Bb-Ab-G variation. See what you think. Thanks
Oliver, thank you for the question. The shuffle bass pattern is used throughout the book as the default example bass pattern whenever I show how the right and left hand go together. Therefore, almost any page with both hands written out will have the shuffle bass pattern in the left (except for those in the section of each chapter called "in the style of", in which case the original bass pattern by the artist is written. It can be found by itself probably somewhere in the library of bass patterns near the beginning of the book.. chapter 2 I think.. (sorry not looking at the book at the moment). But it will only be written out as a 1 measure example of the pattern. I hope this helps. Very sorry for the late response!
Sadly no... but I have made many videos corresponding to the information in the book. They can be found on my channel under the playlist "How to Play Boogie Woogie Piano". Also, www.schoolofboogie.com has them listed as "courses". Hope this helps!
It is a fantastic lesson but when you see all is very simple. When you try to do that each bar is an escalator. Many many time I must trainig every day for 3 h. per day. It's dengerus if you want to do some like that.
No I don’t!! I meant to make some about 5 years ago and never got to it. Forgot that I never did it until you just asked… so… thank you!!! I will make some videos about it in August.
@@thearthurmigliazza That would be great. I just made a short video learned from your boogie woogie tutorial (credit in the description). :) ruclips.net/user/shortskh8XZhV33TA?feature=share

On what page in your book is the "blues shuffle" which starts around 4:32 on this video ?

Arthur Migliazza thanks Arthur. I got the base shuffle ok but it was the right hand that I wanted to find. Where in the book can I find that?
On the video you call it "blues shuffle" and it goes from about 4:32 to 5:20
Thanks teacher!
