I have a bunch of tin lying around, a friend with a pilots license, a spare V8 in the barn, internet access, an airport a mile down the road, and a dad that also likes aircraft, so I should theoretically be able to make a plane. Edit: there’s also some metal working stuff in the barn.
Nice one Peter! This version is looking really good. I have one small suggestion, you can rotate the silencer on the Moster at 120 degree intervals so that the exhaust port faces backwards. I don't think it will affect performance with the way you have it but it may look a little better aesthetically and will blow the exhaust with the airflow. Really curious to see how the motor works in that orientation over time!

Great job. You remind me of my old buddy who flew in navy. He lost his ticket from heart attack. He started building light planes. He ended up with a hyperlight and was such a free spirit. True aviation in its purest form. Keep dreaming and building those dreams.

Peter is an incredible talent. He saw the same videos we did and I'm sure he will sort out any issues including the tail wheel. @@twinleaf3076 based on a quick search, parachutes open in around 400 feet of a free fall, minimum. Doubt he'll be flying that high, and even if he is, I highly doubt the plane will break in level flight, rather than on the ascent / landing.
That is a process that many newbies have had no problem with. It is often recommended that one have the motor mount welded pro, but the other parts are often welded by amateurs and often gas welded which is dead cheap and well proven in aircraft.
Didn't dislike... but enjoyed when he went into more technical detail. These are cut like travel chanel specials now. Some people don't get as much from these, but it reaches a broader audience.

This way of 'landing' was also used on Zeppelins.
