I was born in 1992 and I have been playing smash since the franchise started. I now work in corporate America and I had to walk away from my desk because I was crying tears of joy after seeing your win reaction.
There are times where I feel like I’m an adult but it’s times like this that remind me of who I am as a person.

Born in 1993 here, very relatable. Have to put on the “corporate mask” for work, but it’s moments like this that let you peel back the layers and really “feel” like a human being. Literally discovered you like a few month ago, and when I did I decided that you were my favorite smash player.
When you went to summit and beat Leo, I determined in my mind that you were evolving. Then when I saw that tweet about you learning new movement tech with Kazuya, I determined in my mind that you were going to win the next major you attended. and I know it wasn't just me. I didn't anticipate it being a super major though.
You are such a major inspiration for me to get better with kazuya. So I wanted to thank you for that too.

Best part was being in chat with everyone spamming "HE DIDN'T SUGARCOAT IT". 🤣 Terry to Terry/Kaz to Roy to Terry/Kaz and then full Kazuya Mishima this weekend for the win. The payoff from the start of being a fan of someone, watching them grind like hell for a year and be just within an inch of victory so many times, and then being there live when they finally win their first major is unbelievable. What a damn journey and it's only just begun.

Me and two of my buddies watched the entire Top 8 through Nairos stream, and we popped tf off when you beat Light in Winners semis, and then pulled off the reverse 3-0 vs Onion. When we saw that final up B kill we all leapt off the couch and yelled KAZUYA MISHIMA and screamed for the next 10 seconds or so. Unimaginably hype tournament run, and its about damn time you won a major. Im so excited to see what you pull off next. Riddles to the moon!

That Onin/Steve match up looked so tough for Kazuya, but when Riddles won I was pretty sure the tourny was his. I put my money on Light taking it over Onin in Losers Finals. I think Light understands the Steve match up really really well. The Fox/Kazuya match up is much easier for Riddles. Doesn't hurt that he beat Light just earlier in winners semi-finals either.

Ngl kazuya is broken in his own way ( I’m a KaZ main and have been since he came out) but he also has straight up unwinnable matchups like sepheroth min min sonic and occasionally a really good game n watch is hard as hell to deal with. I believed kazuya could win a major but I’m surprised terry didn’t do it first.
