They already call every character he plays that isn’t Fox or Kazuya one of his sweaty mains, I think that him being good is simply his inevitable downfall.
Hell yeah man! These are great!! Your critique of yourself and analysis are interesting to hear, the gameplay was amazing and it’s a ton of fun just to see the difference between you playing casually versus you in a tournament setting. I really think you should bring Hopcat along with you, you seem to play better when he’s around.
I definitely love watching these, regardless of placing, the way that you analyze your gameplay is genuinely so fascinating as well as entertaining. I’d actually like to see you going your mains and analyzing that as well, maybe even top player’s sets at majors, because your view of the game is super interesting as someone who loves the very competitive aspects of it.
The match against Seb made me remember the time someone SD'd in tournament at zero due to a misinput downair, so I homie stocked, and lost the set from it. Never be nice in tournament.
Gotta love these types of videos where you can see someone do well in a tournament yet explain their mistakes and hype themselves when they do good! Thank you Poppt1
@@angryfyce sorry i didnt mean to come off snobby Those types of videos were some of my favorites and i really liked that phase of his channel where he experimented with stuff like that
A little thing against Ryu: Although his projectiles are good for shield break set ups, on their own, they kind of suck. If you're ready for them to throw out shakunetsu, you don't have to respect it. You can just aerial through all of his projectiles. Ex: Ganondorf can literally spam nair and just completely ignore the projectiles.
I think not knowing if you win or not adds to the suspense of the actual fights, otherwise the infamous "game 5" isn't tense at all. I'm an up and coming Mario main and I learn quite a bit from this video. Nice job!
The competitive videos are the best, keep 'em coming!!!!!! I love getting to watch poppt1 go full beast mode (especially with characters other than g&w lmao)
These videos is what I truly enjoyed. I love competitive Poppt. I think it was last year or the year before but when you were training for BAM (Australian super major) or how ever you spell it. That was the hype of Poppt1 content for me. The daily post of you training and critiquing viewers videos. I liked them cause at the time I was going to Locals and training myself. I was watching Pros videos, as they are nice to watch, you were kinda at my level/slightly higher than me so watching you break down just simple bad habits and capitalizing on them felt understandable and easier to learn. Instead of pros talking about micros you were explaining macros and I just needed that more than the minor minor stuff that only no lifers can dedicate their time to.
Definitely keep posting all of these runs, it's great for the breakdowns. I honestly think you should consider giving coaching a go, your critiques are super useful even on just your own gameplay with a character I don't play. P.S. Do Dedede next!
Poppt the video pausing to show something happening in frames is fine and all but it might be a bit easier to see a particular moment, like when you forward smashed Daisy's grab, by just slowing the speed down to x0.25 or something.
Hey Poppt! Love this series. Maybe a better title for these would be "Can I win a tournament as Mario?" So it doesn't spoil the ending AND draws people in with a question
I like these videos much more than those about mods. Nice mix of entertainment and analysis. Not winning every time keeps it more exciting. Also, any Totk videos coming up?^^ Cheers from the Netherlands.
Bayo looks like a really hard matchup. Im not sure how to tell when my mario combos are true to that last frame. She straight up kills of of your own advantage state
I think posting when you don’t win is still useful, because you still make many good decisions and adaptions to even make it as far as you do. The way you highlight what “stage control” looks like and is is also useful, just things like that, so while of course it’d be awesome to see you always win it’s still valuable and cool watching even when you go far but don’t quite get it. Your hindsight is also usually pretty good because you say like “if I did this thing instead it would be a true combo and could’ve killed”; that’s good analysis even if you don’t take 1st and I like seeing that
By posting videos of your wins AND your losses, you keep it a mystery until the end of the video whether or not you won. That makes it even more hype!!
The way Poppt was roasting himself about being a coward and not going out far enough for an edge guard, you’d think he lost the game for that mistake or something, but nope 😂😂 I love how critical he is of himself. He always wants to be the best! 💪
I really hope these competitive videos do better outside of Japan. These videos are so entertaining and it's sad that the mod videos do better (not that the mod videos aren't good they still are great). My friend who has never seen one of your videos before and isn't interested in smash, watched one of your videos (pichu tourney) and they said it was super entertaining (p.s I think you should still upload your losses)
Hey, Jordan! I want to say that I personally noticed that you used the right pronouns for Seb at first I want to say I appreciate it when you did, even if it fall off I hope you can continue to improve 😊 /genuine Edit: want to continue to elaborate and say that it feels nice and, I don't know, accepted when people make a effort to remember?
yea i think jordan just got excited when talking about seb in that charizard game so he kinda forgor to use the right pronouns, but like it prob wasnt malicious so thats a based thing!
Definitely still want to see the videos where you don't win - we still get the benefit of your analysis and seeing how top players learn from their mistakes.
Poppt is slowly adding new characters to the list of characters he cant play against the underdogs because they are "his mains"
This is his way of finding a way out of Underdogs gaming videos
They already call every character he plays that isn’t Fox or Kazuya one of his sweaty mains, I think that him being good is simply his inevitable downfall.
@@owenicewater9704what about olimar or something 💀
@@owenicewater9704 the only time being good is bad
Eventually he’s going to get used to the characters he has forced to play and he’ll have no characters left
Poppit realizing that people of different nationalities exist is so pure
To be fair, Perth is insanely remote so it’s probably pretty rare to see Americans and Mexicans at tournament
I wouldn’t say “pure” lmao

i hope this becomes series where poppt1 enters a tournament with every character
He did say that's the plan
Umm... It is lol
Maybe the sarcasm is going over my head
Poppt1 “yeah I gave up on getting a 0-death with every character”
Also Poppt1 “ I’m trying to win a tournament with every character”
To be fair, both are very different skills sets.
I love how i can tell which stream this was filmed before/after based on the shirt and background
Yeah, it’s actually hilarious
ABSOLUTELY continue posting your tournament vids! They’re informative and your narration and personality are entertaining to watch!

Street Fighter 6 is new right now and pretty popular. I'd love to see another "one week tournament" video for that game!
I think he has moved away from that type of content
Im pretty sure he said those videos were mostly experimental

Jordan’s path to random main is well underway
Incineroar next?
He learns from the ways of Little Z, who's best character is random
Absolutely

Had to pause the video and laugh when he said it’s a movie when there’s a Mexican and American 😂😂
LETS GO MARIO TOURNAMENT BABYYYY
I like how poppt is on yeetsmash and he is the one getting comboed
Definitely keep posting these! Appreciate the no spoiler on the end result - adds to the suspense!
A few Minutes in the Video and i am thinking: "Why is the Mic so loud?!" XD
Kinda funny seeing Jordan getting genuinely pissed off at his own gameplay.
Great video, for me it doesn't matter if you win or lose the tournament, this format is one my favourites.

Love the tournament videos whether you win or lose! Your commentary is great, force Perth to host more tournaments using your celebrity powers!!!!
Just host the Big Smash Bash #3
perfect video to come on my feed rn, going into a tournament in 10 days going in with mario too.
13:48 sounding like mario
Jordan did you plug your headphones backwards again
This is a certified Chris Pratt classic
I like the journey not knowing whether you win or not. It gives it suspense and makes me want to watch till the end.
13:10 I LOVE how he screams at himself in the same way everyone in the Underdogs screams at him 😭
Poppt is gonna be the new “one of my best characters” guy
My favorite poppt1 series returns!!! I hope you try again with Mario and win!
That was a clean bayonetta though, it seemed like he had an answer to anything you tried. That was a good effort, Mario is always great to watch too

Post it all! Losing is half of life. Wouldn't be complete without the attempts that don't make it.
P.s. Also a fantastic run. It's the journey not the destination
W, good luck on the Iron Man tourney challenge lol
I like it when you post the videos when you lose, cause well for me, it hypes me up to see if you win this or not
Now we need Jordan to play Piranah Plant in a tournament
Still post even when you lose it shows the effort and tourney gameplay is always entertaining.
I would love if you would create a playlist of all of your tournaments with each character

As a bayo main, turnip has my respect for winning. Also as a bayo main, Popit has my respect for suffering through the bayo v Mario matchup 😂
I still find the losses an amazing video cause your still playing amazing and then we can learn from you learning at the same time.
Any finish in top 3 is worth the vid
i did the same thing by accident when i started going to tournaments, i messed up my controller settings
Would love to see you pick up one of the Mii’s for a tournament.
