  • In this video I'll show an issue I was having with my Ender 3 printer. During the bed leveling process, the nozzle went right off of the bed and caused the steppers to jam. I found the solution and I'll show you how to fix the homing issue.

You dodged a bullet there! Quick and easy fix. BTW, most limit switches are inexpensive and cheaply made. It's not uncommon for limit switches to fail. I toasted a huge NEMA 34 12NM stepper because of a limit switch issue and I didn't catch it fast enough. From now on I only use configurations with normally closed (NC) limit switches. Creality is using normally open (NO) switches.

Interesting. I like the idea of the normally closed switches. I was lucky for sure. I heard a banging noise and knew I only had a few seconds to shut off the power. Fortunately the board and motor is ok but what a close call.

First check to see if your limit switches are connected. you might also need to check to see if they are plugged in correctly at the board. One loose switch connection can cause this issue
