Thank you Mr Jonathan for filming the Dugong in the Philippines and thank you for visiting in my country... God bless to you and to your show.. Love from Philippines ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I can't wait to see the dugong up close for my next year's visit to Coron, Palawan, Philippines. Thanks for this detailed video-documentary which aroused my interest with this endangered Dugong!
Growing up I always wanted to be a marine biologist but my mother always dissuaded me because she grew up in Imperial Beach, CA and she is TERRIFIED of the ocean. I’ve always been fascinated by it but I can’t explain how much these videos have impacted me and reawakened my love for the ocean! Working on getting my Open Water Certification!
I'm from here in the Philippines and a certified rescue scubadiver. I've been diving a lot already but this beautiful marine animal Dugong is one of my dream to see soon. Cant wait.. Thank you. God Bless
I really love Filipino captains they have so much experience, here in Jeddah my cousin works as an instructor and dive master in with natlus divers and he knows a a Filipino captain who works with him, his name is jimmy and he has like 20-25 years of experience driving the boat and parking them along the reef, with his confidence he does not worry about hitting the coral, he calm composed and collected, he just uses the nose of the ship as a reference when mooring the ship on the reef, plus he drives a large yacht, talk about not being worried of hitting the coral 😉
I learn so much in this show and I really enjoyed watching it. I just know that this is we call it Dugong, we use the name of Dugong if we like to make a joke to someone..But now I know it was a adorable creature. Love it.
Hi Jonathan, I'm with you, they are adorable creatures and i am definitely pleased that their numbers are rising as they are slow breeders. Because they eat sea-grasses, this habitat is very important to take care of also, so they have a sufficient food source too. Thankyou for such beautiful images and informative story and I never realised their range was so extensive!
I think I’ve heard it somewhere that dugongs plays a major role in the origination of “sirena” philippine version of mermaids. Something yo do with their tail.
Philippines have so much underwater beauty that they can offer to the world. Unfortunately, I know some places where they still do dynamite fishing, eat sea turtles and even Dugongs. I'm a project where Im trying to educate fisherman that marine eco-tourism can be much more lucrative and a lasting career than fishing.
Your a lucky guy to have only taken you 20 yrs to see one in the wild. I've never seen one @ all & probably will not ever see one. Great video, Chris from Missouri AKA: ZACKIE
I'm a filipino, and i love watching videos of the ocean world. I've been looking for the perfect channel and i guess this is the one. Just subscribed :)
Small eye & huge snout, that's really cute - as long as it remains a herbivore! This documentary is very nice, I especially enjoyed the part where you explain why the remoras keep coming... Poop-poop-pee-doo-wah!!!
I remember when I was a child and a Dugong was spotted in my hometown curiously close to the shore of a town. We were so convinced that it was a mermaid. It fueled my imagination for years.
wanna be able to do this someday...swim with dugongs... i live in the philippines and only get to see them on tv, haven't had a chance to see them in their natural habitat

I just visited Palawan November 2019!!! I did snorkel diving and I was amazed! I'm the kind of guy that's scared of wildlife let alone sea animals, but shoving my head underwater interacting with the fish and other creatures, I completely forgot that I was afraid of the ocean and was taken by the mesmerizing view of the world underwater. 10/10 would dive again.
@@BlueWorldTV but deep blue sea diving still scares me, I just snorkel/freedive on waters where I can see the seafloor, like 50 feet deep at best but mostly I just want 12 feet
Great episode as always! I saw a dugong in Egypt’s Marsa Alam a couple of years ago. But he was much bigger than the ones in this video (I think he must’ve been 3-4 meters) and was not as shy from people. Dugongs just look so beautiful in real life!

Last year i spend holidays in Huma Island. You can see them on the beaches.. thank you for visitng the philippines. Love fr milan
I just returned from a visit to Busuanga and the dugong are still doing well😊. Really great to see the local efforts to protect the animals and their habitat.
When I was young I thought it was a mermaid because it's too big and the tail looks like it was but then growing seeing this and reminiscing my childhood memories wow it was a dugong. What a wonderful creature! 💙

Soooooo, this is what my tour guide, approximately 30 years old, in Coron, Palawan was talking about, in September last year. He was born in Palawan and he said that when he was a young boy, there were dugongs at the main port of Coron, Palawan, which is not too far from Busuanga.
Watching this video and of other animals makes me appreciate the beauty of the world and its inhabitants. Makes my will to help and advocate to protect them stronger. We humans shouldn't be selfish, we must let these beings live along with us.
Their eyes are so tiny! I love your videos... they're super cool, educational, informative and the only videos I ever see on RUclips shot in 4k(I think it's 4k) I spend the entire video saying 'the footage is so clear and beautiful'!

The dugong is like a teddy bear in the seas. Haha Thanks for featuring the Philippines 🇵🇭 You can go back for more interesting sea creatures. 🤙🏻👏🏻
Jonathan, what a beautiful film, thank you. I did not know there is a relative to a manatee who lives in the Philippines.

I love how classic your style is with documenting the wild. Reminds me of the 90’s! Keep it up. Much love!:)
Hope you could visit Verde Passage in the Philippines as well. It is considered as the Center of the Center of Marine Biodiversity in the World.
I was there last summer, it was indeed the best underwater scene we had ever gone.
All I thought Dugong in English is Manatee 😮 Now i know they're actually cousins..👍
