Built in ad? Haven't seen that on youtube before.
+Ella me too. i was like wtf
Haahah I just commented that aah
I'm so offended by this
oh god...it'll be terrifying if this starts to catch on
Where have you been?
Ad sponsorships for channel videos is a really common thing...They are great, the channel makes money off of their sponsor rather than clicks, so there is no reason to force you to watch it you can just skip right past it.
I was extremely confused about why I couldn't skip the ad in the beginning lol

@@lunix3259 look where this all went. I‘m 23 and started with yt about 2012. now there are like 10 ads for a 20 min vid.
"(...)It's down-to-earth and laidback"
Yeah, my impression, excatly.
Ikr^^
What 😂
+Kozho Guitar i think he means compared to other michelin star restaurants. those could be pretty snobby
nonononono yeah i think so too...but at the same time they're being quite pretentious and snobby by making such a big deal about it
IKR!!! What planet is this guy living on?
This is extraordinary and unique food... there is nothing "laid back" or "down to earth" about it.
Well, I want to experience this for once in my life. I've never eaten a meal like this. Looks like the chef and kitchen staffs put so much effort on the presentation and preparation of the foods.
Have you gone yet?!

rip buddy, hope you get a menu like this in heaven
And that will be $31,057 please
$31 doesn't sound so bad
This place is actually very reasonable. 28-course menu is 190 Euro, and 19 course menu is 150 Euro. Very reasonably priced, like I said.
Great food/experience costs. Not 3grand for sure tho
It’s only $150
I finally see clearly why high end restaurants charge so much for so little. Its the effort and unique ingredients you're paying for. Also the experience. Not just something to wolf down. It really seems like an art form
So little? They serve you loads of dishes
Plus things tase so much better when you can't eat enough of it to get sick of it
@John R anything you call art is art
İt's still shouldn't be that expensive
They serve you very little food in one dish but they also serve you a lot of dishes. You won't leave hungry.
how is it simple and bringing back to the "basics" when a waiter has to tell you how to eat your food.
Went there while my semester abroad months and i just got to say, Barcelona is another level of culinary experiences and innovation.
i love to eat an entire box of hot pockets sometimes
Longevity isn't everything
lynda y my man
I'm like that with Jaffa cakes!
🤣🤣🤣
So two hot pockets?
amazing techniques, simplified to what’s essential and what works!!!! felt like eleven madison park / tickets!!!! now googling how to stage here, soon to be the number one restaurant in the world if they continue at this level probably add a more sustainable or dan barber-esque resourcing style and they got in the bag!! i understand how many people can’t comprehend the art level of this food and call it pretentious, because they don’t understand the beauty of food and the labor that goes so much with it, mad respect to these guys they did el Bulli proud!!! this is now currently my favorite restaurant, next to Gaggan, EMP, and Tickets (never ate in any of these) just purely based on their Philosophy!!!
Love this video. Keep them coming!
it doesnt really seem "down to earth". like dont get me wrong it looks fucking amazing and delicious, but it is an extreme high end dining restaurant where they have to tell you how to eat the dish. im not denying that it's an amazing place worthy of it's michelin stars, but dont call it something it isnt.
+leezus its why restaurants like this don't have staying power, brilliant culturally significant places representative of incredible technique, but you're not eating at long standing institution
except some fine dinning restaurants do last long.... lots of mom and pop restaurants don't have staying power either.
Think890
got me
leezus Exactly. Dictating they way something is eaten might enhance the experience but is far from "laid back". That's just PR BS. Mind you, i'd jump at the chance to try it out. lol
Will love to experience a meal like this one day
Great restaurant and one of the best places in the world where technique and flavour are perfectly combined. Thanks for the interesting video!
Sometimes i cut up bacon and cheese into tiny pieces...
"it's down to Earth."
Wow, that's so come! Everything is just so beautiful.
"It's laid back, it's down to earth" sure it's laid back compared to a white table cloth place. But down to earth? It's about fake olives, take grapes and gelatine pasta
I have to admit, by the time they served the transparent gelatin pasta with carbonara foam, I wondered for a moment if this was a satire video. These "down to earth" dishes are anything but.
gelatin macaroni should be a sin if it isn't already...
Carbonara is a traditional dish in Italy for miners, the name Carbon-ara really gives it away and gelatin isn’t exactly that expensive, this is down to Earth the presentation however is much more expensive.
It was pretentious nonsense.
@@lawrence142002 ...yeah they kind of are just playing with the food...but why? Serves as a distraction as to what's important in life. Though the best meals I've had, have been in Spain (one in Barcelona) the person was really good at combining flavors, not playing around with food - SMH. And you were not hungry when you left the restaurant.
Carbonara foam does Not even Sound Right...
Spain is so out there with modernist technique, it's crazy

I've been on youtube for a looong time and watched hunderts of videos from all kind. But I've never ever seen a built in ad. That's a new level.
Those all looked awesome!
METAL SPOON and caviar?
That was really amazing
Some amazing ideas from these chefs.
amazing techniques.
Instead of fussing all over the built-in ad, let's all just take a moment to appreciate the technique and effort these chefs have taken to produce quality food (gastronomy?).
People who hate ads just skip the video okay? No big deal
asdfgh123456978 boo
This is amazing.
Built in ad? Way to fuck over us red subscribers
you got played
just skip ahead...it's not hard. and i hardly consider watching an ad "getting fucked over"
not unless you pay to not see ads
icedcoconut That's literally the entire point of buying a Red subscription...

This is amazing
eating this high with all my friends would probably be the funniest thing ever
Great video
"I pigged out here" (ate two bites of ice cream and an egg)
It's 19 courses, after the 5th course, you'd be so happy they didn't plop down a large plate of stuff on your table. At least I hope so haha.
Impressive content!
Brilliant....
Wow great video 😊
A great video with superb camera work and the food looks bloody amazing
weak point were the very annoying eaters
such a fun and amazing experience i'd say
Was lucky enough to get in while on vacation and the food and experience was amazing. 😀
The best dishes are those who let you think you're in a food themepark. Not only to smell the food more likely to experience the food.
Amazing
I originally worked there as a the Gueridon Chef but when we
started doing mucous mornay I was promoted to the Mucoudon Chef and would
finish the dish at the table
Is it just me or are 1 Michelin star restaurants in Europe just WAY above 1 Michelin Stars in USA? I have eaten at multiple 1 Michelin stars in Europe that make the 1 Michelin in California look like food from a diner... Why is the standard so much lower in the US?
SalvatoreDK the other food as well....even grocery stores are so much lower-standardized in the us...
Depends on the place, disfrutar is quite molecular gastronomy which comes from spain, in the us its more a la carte or minimalistic food, depends on the place and what you like mostly
SalvatoreDK Europe has a passion. USA is just chain fast food
It does indeed depends on the place, but in general we also think the standard is somewhat higher in especially Western Europe. But there are some truly world-class restaurants in the US as well - mainly in the big cities however (in Europe we often find them on more remote locations).
Very good video 😍😍
This presentation of the food is almost an art.. the only problem I would have is I believe I'd still be a bit hungry once I left.
The waiter was more interesting than all of the three chefs and owners.
~Haricho Damn straight.
I paused the video at some moment and realised how tensed I was watching. Doesn't seem "down-to-earth and laidback" at all! I'd rather gather my family or friends and go to a pizzeria, have fun and talk throughout the evening than listen to a waiter explain EVERY single dish that will last one bit without leaving much impression let alone comfort of the food I prefer
I KNEW this could not be a restaurant in NYC. Yes probably the most inventive and best tasting food I've ever had was in a quiet BARCELONA restaurant, where the chef literally lived upstairs, came downstairs and made each dish himself. Probably the best kept secret in NYC - is where to get good food.
Nice vision great chef
Definitely I am going to be there..!!
"it's laid back; it's down to earth". HAHAHAHA
These guys were the back bone of ElBulli. They have brought the legacy back to Catalonia. Respect please.
They are just making science in the restaurant. Amazing
I left this video the second they were scooping caviar with a metal spoon
hello!! nice to meet you, i like your showing videos
I'm a chef and this video made me feel soo good thanks
I like how they put a built in ad at the start of the video
To be honest I know NOTHING about high end dining, I never even paid around 50$ for a meal outside, but I'm planning on going on my first trip abroad before the year ends and suddenly become interested in such beautiful restaurants. I'm planning on going through my first ever culinary experience in a highly acclaimed restaurant in Paris, hopefully, so this was really nice to watch :) Although that is a 4 course, not a 19 :D
i like how this prestigious restaurant's video's comments are mainly about the ad.
Michael Shen because the people like me who can afford to go don't watch ads like peasants
Edward Jones will treat you well, enjoy.
Nah. Give me a fat steak and a beer lmao
the cameraman and editor is amazing
This restaurant is really top-notch. It must be so top-grossing.
what annoys me most in restaurants like that is that there is always sb above your head telling you what to eat, when, how, or in what order.
Yeah same. It would make me kind of uncomfortable like I'd commit a faux pas if I didn't do it properly. That being said I think it would be fun to try this restaurant even though, to me, it is at its heart very silly.
The best meals I have ever had have been in Spain, but it was not transparent pasta or super small dishes. Spain - Lovely architecture, good food but you have to search for it.
"Laid back and down to earth" Having gone to Spain and this strip - He means it - when you are in Europe you experience things tat are very counterintuitive to the "western" or any other "regular" way of doing things - like a restaurant with a super high end menu that's down to earth -seems impossible? - He is not kidding - believe it.
I like it 👍

Nice video
I've always dreamt of eating on a michelin guide restaurant. This looks delicious!
Anyone know the name of the music that plays at the beginning?
“trying to make it as natural as possible”
*gelatin macaroni with carbonara foam*
Nice video good
Good video
Molecular gastronomy meets Mediterranean cuisine.
Actually looks pretty fucking amazing.
Amazing! Definitely on my bucket list
Tip for built in ads on any video - press the "l" key to skip ahead 10 seconds, and the "j" key to skip back just in case you went too far
Michael Joseph that means I miss 5 seconds of video or still have to watch 5 seconds of ads
I'm surprised no one came up with a gus fring reference
kobe24OBCity That dude looks so much Like him😂
Im sorry its unrelated but that music at the start after the ad is the themetune to a game ive played
This is going on my to-do list!
Same!
Anele Malinga your on my to do list 😘
David Butterworth hhahaahhaha
I'll have a wholesome home cooked meal over this any day!
So much delicious 😋
Nice
I'd love to spend a months food budget on one visit to a restaurant. Too bad I'm stuck with pot noodles and Rustlers burgers for now.
This is more complex than Mathematics yet much much much more beautiful...wow.
"Down to earth" ha!
anyone have idea what's this @2:50 thingy is? thanks!
That Johann Wald dude 1:25 looks like the black version of Kramer from Seinfeld.
They used a metal spoon on caviar @ 2:30. Did I miss something?
Yo, You missed a Penis at 5:43

Illuminati
Yo was there an ad at the beginning of this I was so confused
Beautiful
'as natural as possible' Yeah right m8
Clearly a restaurant giving out Lagavulin to wash your hands doesn't need my ad revenue
" It's down to earth. "
Getting hungry now
I was trying to find the skip ad button until I realized that it was part of the video...
Metal spoons and caviar should not mix tho, not that I know better
