I wish I found this video a long time ago. I discovered I can get 5lb tank exchanged for $17.46. That’s huge savings in comparison to SodaStream’s $29.95 exchange for barely a pound of CO2. Just started using the 5lb tank today. Thank you!!!
Do you open and close the valve before and after each use of the Sodastream? I was looking at hose adapter kids on Amazon and a few of them says to close the valve after every use. I'm wondering if that's to keep the pressure off the hose -- perhaps to prolong the life of the hose. Wondering what your experience is?
It's a Brazilian times cheaper. Five pounds of CO2 cost less than one of their tiny cylinders. Soda stream drove us to replacing their supply chain for the same reason that next time I run out of inkjet ink I'm just getting a cheap laser printer.
I know this question is relative to usage, but give me your usage is fine. How many days will a 5 lbs tank last you? How many days will the 60L tank last you? Thanks for the video.
Seeing your comment was 9mo ago. Did you try it with a regulator? I have a 5lb tank for my kegerator which has a regulator. Wasn’t sure if I should take it off for using with the soda stream

Funny you should ask - I literally just picked up a tank exchange today at Airgas. One 5lb tank usually lasts about 3 months for my family of 4.
Thank you for sharing. Is there any issue not running the line through a regulator first?
Haven’t had any problems. I’m probably on sixth tankful but now.

@@dave9219 Did you try yours with a regulator, I'm in the same position and I'm not sure how I feel about such a high pressure line in my kitchen.
do you have to turn the tank on in order to use the soda streamer? Is it safe to keep it on indefinitely?
Yes you have to turn the dial on the tank on. Ive had our tank on for almost a year (except when swapping in a new tank) with no issues.
Can you keep the dial on all the time even when the sodastream is not in use?
