Reverse choke: missed at the beginning or relative early part of a beatmap and then FC-ing the rest.

Cursor Dancing: When a player does some unnecessary movement in the cursor before hitting the next circle. Can also mean when a player is not following the follow points and finds another way to hit the next circle. I usually circle my cursor in square jumps and looks cool imo.
Something I literally only realised a few weeks ago: a lot of people don't differentiate between "plays" and "scores".
I subconsciously call good FCs 'plays' and good passed 'scores'. Don't think anyone differentiates between them though, they're the same thing pretty much.

That /np was helpful. I was always wondering how players were able to post the song they were playing in the chat. Also, maybe go over some osu shortcuts (e.g. F8 to bring up chat in-game). I noticed you briefly covered what AR means in your first video (with a table), but didn't give it some dedicated time.

Super Nice video! Maybe you can talk about the pp system and how you gain performance. You should explain how the weighted xx% works if it says weighted 36% for example. I think many does not know what this means.

You can prevent mousedrift by enabling raw input (also change how your cursor moves if you had your enhanced mouse movement on, pretty much)

I’m a little late but this is a great video! It’s very helpful, but I feel like it’s a little all over the place. I feel like it would be more helpful if you grouped up things a little more. In terms of playing styles, map styles, mod explaination, website related things, etc. you did it to a certain extent. Anyways it’s a very helpful video, keep up the good work :)
I might do that once I have enough materials to make a big ~1hr long video - no point if there would be only 2-3 terms per category and I'd prefer covering most of the important ones instead of going over one group of terms per video. Thanks for the feedback! :)

I need help tho i cant stop just mashing when those huge snakes of single circles happen, do you guys just use the 2 keys and manage to click them to the beat because i just cant get them going fast enough consistently one after the other.
Wouldnt it be easier to just call it positive&negative flow where an anti-jump is a jump with negative flow. Maybe there is a good reason for why its called anti-jump. (anti-jump obviously have to be when mapper stack a note and use distance zero).

isn't bursts and streams differentiated by bursts not requiring flow aim at all (you can hold your circle in one place and hit all of them) and streams requiring at least a minimal amount of flow aim?
I appreciate that this video is made so everyone can understand what's being talked about but terms like stamina and consistency could probably be left out. Great video though

Tech is a combination of many different skills all rolled into one skill. The most common part of tech maps would be the different slider patterns
Without the sliders they would just be consistency maps

Isn't "Burst" a high bpm stack of notes? Like a stream "moves around", but the burst stays at the same place. At least that's why I understood as Burst.

if you seriously wanna know, sotarks is a famous mapper that the community has very mixed opinions about because almost all of sotarks maps are mapped with the only goal of giving pp, and one of the easiest way of making pp maps is 1-2 jumps because they fuck the pp system and are overweighted as hell. many people dislike sotarks for this reasom but theres also the pp farmers that pretty much only play sotarks maps

A significant bit late, but I'm one of those purists who only considers it a full combo if you attain maximum possible combo and Osu! shows the words "Full Combo!" on the score screen.

im a 6 digit (130ish-k) who rarely plays "consistency maps", and I mainly play tv sized maps that I enjoy (fun songs or nice jumps)
id rather be at jumps, and not work too much on streams.
should I continue having fun or develop more skills like consistency?
Depends, do you want to improve? do you want to just have fun on your tv sized maps? Do what you want, if you want to improve you will have to play longer maps and you will also need to learn streams, but it's entirely up to you
Do both, in higher ranks, there's alot of farmeable 3minute plus maps, it's a waste if you care about pp

good luck with tech maps in the current build of lazer. it's impossible to maintain combo when hitting any sort of high velocity sliders, let alone fc a map. sliderends are significantly more sensitive in lazer than they are in normal osu.
Peppy emphasised that nothing is fixed in Lazer yet. Hopefully "tech" maps won't be unplayable when it actually replaces stable.
i used to only play osu lazer until 2020.320.1, the update that made sliders impossible to cheese. i even posted a comment about it on the changelog page. 3 months later, we are currently at osu lazer build 2020.603.0 and sliders still havent changed. i guess ill just have to wait longer
