    I can't say I've ever noticed ray tracing looking worse on AMD than Nvidia. If the settings are the same it looks the same. I've heard theories from both sides of people saying image quality looks better on one brand over the other. I haven't noticed this as long as the settings are the same. There's also no evidence for this either nor does it make a lot of sense if you think about it. There have been some cases of visual bugs effecting each card differently but thats not by design or the standard.

      I thought exactly the same until I was testing this game the last two days and to me it doesn't make sense.
      The only thing in my mind that would make any sense is the fact I was using heavy upscale through FSR and as FSR has no ai help when RT was added it somehow added more load onto the reconstruction FSR was trying to do?
      Your far more technically minded than me.
      But I honestly felt like the picture became more blurry when I added RT whilst using heavy upscale than it did without it.
      Going in and out of menus does make it awkward though.

      @@Spratty-wb3is You could also have ray reconstruction enabled on the 4080 that would make RT look cleaner and there would be a noticeable image quality difference between DLSS and FSR too of course, especially below 4K.

      @TerraWare I don't use RR in cyberpunk.
      I find the ghosting a bit much with it on.
      But I'm not talking really about image quality of RT on the 7900xtx vs 4080.
      What I mean is when I added RT to an already heavily upscaled image on the 7900xtx I felt like the image quality got even worse.
      When I turned RT back off I felt like the overall image quality got slightly better.
      I mean it was terrible already as I was using FSR ultra performance.
      But it definitely seemed to get even worse with RT or certainly PT added.
      Or my eyes are playing tricks with me 🤣

      @Spratty-wb3is OH ok I understand now. Yeah that's possible. It could ad shimmering I stability I suppose since RT is sometimes rendered at lower resolution anyway it could potentially look even worse with aggressive upscaling.

      Doesn't rt look worse in this because amd don't have ray recon??
      Is it ray recon or something more?
      Edit Ok i read the other comments. Don't mind me.
      I have heard people say this before as well.
