Carys seems like she’s grown so much in confidence since becoming a mum, it’s so lovely to see. Side note on the age gap thing, smaller age gaps might be harder when they’re younger but we have a 4.5 year age gap and I feel like our older child misses out sometimes because we still have a toddler. I wish we’d had a smaller age gap and they had similar interests (although they really love each other).
Funny you feel that way, I'm expecting my first and I've always thought that having a 3/4 year gap would be better than having them back to back, it seems so exhausting on the parents and on the development on the older one...
@@nalves6505 I definitely think it’s harder having them closer together when they’re smaller. It’s just that I feel if they’re closer together you get that part out of the way all at once then when they’re bigger (the part of childhood they’ll remember anyway) you can be doing fun things all together. Getting out and about isn’t the same with a baby/toddler too. It’s probably a case of ‘grass is greener’ though. There’s definitely pros and cons but my friend had her first the same time as me and her second 20 months later and her kids like the same things and they can all do things as a family without having to think about the baby/toddler stage because her kids are more grown up. Rambling now, definitely pros and cons :)
The way you both still ensure Mila knows she's loved just melts my heart 😭 she's such a gorgeous dog, I'm obsessed with her! Amber is a doll, she's so cute!
Just want to say one more thing: Everyone is different. I breastfed both of my kids, and I got my period back 2 months after giving birth. My sister is the same. My sister in law is period free for about a year after giving birth. We all breastfed. Also, you can get pregnant while breastfeeding. I got pregnant about 9 months after giving birth while I was breastfeeding. My mom did the same. It just varies person to person.
I think Mama doctor Jones had a Video about breastfeeding and getting pregnant. She sad something like you have to breastfeed at least every 4 hours no period and a few other things
I always remember my health visitor saying, lots of people will give you advice/old wife tales, just say thank you very much and go with your instinct you know your baby better than anyone 🐝
Please don’t believe that you can’t get pregnant when breast feeding it’s very much an old wives tale, I know several people who’ve ended up with new baby while nursing! You’re all amazing and baby amber is perfect! ❤️❤️
As a women who has questions and fears about pregnancy I love your honesty and transparency in your journey. There's so many things that I think all women go through that no one wants to talk about and so many women think they r alone in their experience. It's so beautiful ❤
It is so amazing to see how you’re growing as a couple and how you’re both just glowing with confidence and being so honest with us all🥰 just makes such a difference for you to not dance around the subject and try and pretend everything happens perfectly etc. I love you 3 so so much!!!!

After all 4 of my babies I got my period 4 weeks after my bleeding had stopped. I was breastfeeding. Some women don’t have periods. But you can get pregnant while breastfeeding so you will need contraception. Xx And yes it’s normal to be very swollen and bruised down there.xx

So pleased for Carys and James that Amber is such an easy baby, and that they've had such a lovely newborn time, but just want to give a heads up to anyone on here expecting a baby that it may not be like that! I was under the impression that newborns generally were so sleepy and calm, but our daughter had colic, and the first 3ish months of her life were so incredibly difficult. I was feeding constantly round the clock, and she screamed aaaall the time! I couldn't set her down to even go to the bathroom without her screaming 🙈 it was so hard. And I'm listening to Carys and James talk about how they were shocked at how little crying there's been etc and am just like, "that was not my experience at aaaall!" And I was just so unprepared for it. So just want to put that out there! But fingers crossed for happy calm babies for everyone expecting! 😂
My (half) sister from my dads first marriage is 15 years older than me. She is my best friend & we know each other inside out, we speak everyday and I spent a lot of time in hers (in Cardiff) helping out with my nephews & nieces. It’s the best! So don’t worry about any age gap! Love you both & baby Amber is so beautiful 💗🥰xx
I legit LOVE how yous two talk about something, even if you don’t have anything to say. I didn’t realise how the body was after birth never mind my partner! It can be horrific thinking that’s how your body is on your own without knowing it’s the norm. Yous are doing more for schools than schools are. Thank you so so much 🙏

I always said I wanted kids 2 years apart, because my brother and I were. However, it was so quick when it was time to get pregnant. So we moved it to 3 years. We have 2 girls and they are best friends. Only thing my MIL told me was not to have a new baby when your child was doing something big. My husband was starting kindergarten and his brother was born. It was hard on my husband.
