More of a suggestion for busybee maybe but stilllll: Been watching a load of your old busybee videos and I was wondering whether you could maybe do a reaction video to one of your old fitness vlogs as I believe you have said before how you used to be super anxious about food and macros and your weight whereas now you are so much more free. I think it would be so interesting to see you look back at your old videos and see how your attitude to fitness has changed into a more loving and healthy relationship with your body and food!

@@heatherjane4760 I agree with this but many aren’t aware that they are unsafe. Even when watching your baby sleep the increased risk of SIDS is still there. It’s just down to each individual what risks they choose to take, but informed risks are safer than not being made aware in the first place. It’s the same with the rockers really, some love them and some wouldn’t touch them with a 10 foot pole 🤷🏻‍♀️x

Highly recommend the Sleepyhead. We have both sizes too. My little one slept a dream in it. We did have him in it overnight, although people may disagree with that. The point I think, is that a SIDS happens with or without a Sleepyhead. It’s a sad but 100% true fact. Our little one slept through the night from 5 weeks and that was down to the Sleepyhead - definitely one of our best buys.
We went for the Bugaboo buggy and also love that.
Our furniture is Mamas and Papas, still in perfect condition, three years later.
You have to get a chair/bouncer/rocker. It’s very practical. The best one in my opinion is the Mamaroo. It moves just like “a mama would” rather than vibrating or swinging. My little one suffered with bad colic and reflux and it help an absolute treat. Plus it was handy whilst you’re eating dinner or trying to get ready. Xxx

The automatic rocket is so helpful. The ones that have the ability to have toys hanging are the best option in my opinion. The rocker just gives you the option to place the baby down and give you time to clean or eat or whatever you need while still comforting them while rocking or just allowing them to reach up and play with the toys. I know a play mat can do that too but in the rocker you won’t need to worry about the dog or anything laying too close or accidentally stepping on the baby or playing too close if you need to look away for a moment.

Just googling it! I think that they’re saying it’s unsafe for sleeping in unaccompanied by an adult? We NEVER intended to let the baby sleep in a sleepyhead but only as an extra place to put the baby during the day when we’re chilling with it and watching it all the time ☺️

    • @abithamayo
      @abithamayo 3 года назад +2

@@JamesandCarys I think that's a perfect idea and what we have always recommended if anyone uses them. We often say even if accompanied by an adult they shouldn't be life to sleep in them overnight (as if you are co-sleeping in the same bed) because if the parents are a sleep they cannot be classified as 'supervising'. I think day times to keep little one from rolling anywhere and out of reach from Mila would work well for you guys! Rocker is 100% a must have!! And finally, please don't get a sleepy head even for just chilling on the sofa it only takes a minute to get distracted by the TV and baby to roll and suffocate they're so dangerous, we had a next to me upstairs and bought a cheap moses basket for downstairs for baby to sleep and it was fab! Electric rockers are the most amazing thing! Especially ones that are at an incline because most babies tend to have a little reflux when they’re younger! Up until 2-3 months it won’t cause any negative sleep associations and by 3 weeks my daughter was sleeping in the crib every night and during her naps (she refused to sleep in any bassinets we got her so a camera monitor was a MUST). It gives mama a break to nap while baby does. One last note, if you’re a worried parent, swings are great because they’re strapped in and secure and me and my fiancé didn’t feel the need to obsessively check on her to make sure she was ok because she was right next to us being soothed.

Don’t get a electric rocker!! I’m anti rocking unless you really need to, babies like adults are creatures of habit, you’ll be rocking that little lady till she’s 3!! I have the ocarro (bought before working for them) it’s the best thing I’ve ever bought and it’s doing my second baby now, and the cloud Z car seat with it is the BEST!! Plus you can keep the isofix base for the next stage car seat which swivels! It’s the only infant carrier on the market with a swivel base!🙌🏼 You’ll get sick of baby being in babygrows for 3 months! Buy 0-3 clothes. Limited newborn. They grow so quick! I recommend a colourful play mat for sensory purposes, the plain colours are literally just for the aesthetics of today. Get bright colours/black and white. You’ll enjoy dressing baby for the day she won’t always be in babygrows what I do is keep them just for bedtime. Next clothes are the ones that last the shortest amount of time, they come up small/tight especially the babygrows!! The best ones I found are Asda and Primark they have lasted the longest, wash the best too. My baby girl is just coming upto 3 months and these are things I’ve found xx

Which is annoying from next considering they’re more of the pricey side. Cheaper has been better in my opinion and especially considering how fast they grow and the money that essentially is wasted for a one time outfit haha! Also once washing and drying the grows, stretch the feet. I found the feet shrivel up for some reason?!

You absolutely want the rocker! It was a lifesaver when our little was smaller. We used ours constantly. Also, don't feel like you have to put your baby is nothing but body suits. I made sure our little guy was always completely dressed from the day he came to us (we began fostering him at 2 months) and now that he is 2 years old I never have to fight with him about wearing clothing. Also, look into an under mattress foam wedge for the crib. It's helps a lot to keep the baby's head slightly elevated while sleeping. Especially if you have a baby who is prone to spitting up after eating.

Those next baby grows are adorable. Just in my experience, depending on the size of your baby they really aren’t in newborn/first size very long so I would recommend stocking up on lots of 0-3. Also the electric swing is a god send. My little boy wasn’t keen as a newborn, he just wanted to be held all the time but from about 3 months he loved it. He’s 5 month now and has a little nap in there midday while I do dishes etc. Definitely recommend xxx

Rockers are fine for new borns and depending on your baby she may love or hate them. Mine loved them. Both of mine had heartburn/gerd bad so the rocker and swing was a lifesaver for them and me. You could tell laying in them even without swinging was much more comfortable for them.

Sleepy heads are fab but check the safe sleeping guidelines before you purchase - and look out for Mila when you’re not in the room, our dog struggles to work out the difference between the sleepy head and his bed 😂😂. In terms of rocker, all the advice we were given was to wait until baby arrives and then try them out in them because some babies love them and some hate them and they are super pricy!

Also, definitely recommend buying future sizes in clothing when you find something you like. My little boy has just moved into 3-6 months and it was fab already having a full wardrobe!

my friend had an electrical rocker and ALWAYSSSSS used it!!!! it was good for when they wanted the baby to go to sleep but didn't settled well in the crib straight away. the rocker helped because they would usually fall asleep in the rocker then move them from the rocker to the crib when they have fallen asleep. in my opinion, soooooo much better for a routine for your baby! so they know when it is nap time and they get used to this from an early age. i also did health and social care at college and routines for babies are better if it is introduced from an early age, otherwise it takes them months and months (or even years!) to get used to a daily routine. i hope this helps xxxx

ROCKERS ARE AMAZING! I have a 2.5 year old and am about to have my second on 6th April and I will be getting another rocker. It’s not about neglecting the baby to have you time, it’s about the baby having a safe spot to keep them comfy and also a place that you can feel comfortable putting them while you do housework/cook dinner/watch tv etc. I highly recommend them from my experience and all of my friends that have bubs too.

  • @shelbyjames8605

The rocker is amazing for times when baby is awake but can’t be held. Maybe while cooking or cleaning and go electric for sure so you can just peek at baby and not constantly have to stop what you’re doing for another push.
