I tried for 5 years had IVF no pregnancy, my Dr said that I needed to except that I probably wouldn't have children and to fill my life with other things (a heartbreaking comment) so I then just stop obsessing and ovulating tests, etc etc, then something made me buy a pregnancy test, I was pregnant, GP said miracle child wouldn't have anymore, started to feel nauseous, was pregnant again , have 2 beautiful daughters, 21 & 18, so never give up but taking the pressure off I definitely believe it helps, good luck to everyone, congratulations to Cary's and James X ❤

Agreed took me 6 years, no ferrility treatments because they said I was ‘normal’ other than being irregular with ovarian cysts. But when I gave up, stopped tracking my fertility, o realized I was two weeks late. Now I have my sweet boy!

@@jaynelethbridge I don't get annoyed by them at all. TTC journey is still hard no matter how fast you get pregnant. You still go months hoping for a positive and continue to see negative Which is heartbreaking for anybody. You still spend your time checking temps, ovulation, taking test and having sex. Which sometimes when your so desperate to concieve can feel like a job more then fun for most.

As a young couple they seem to just know how/what to say and explain what they are talking about, and be very informative to help others, regardless of what they are discussing Sex, Pregnancy, House Buying... whatever it is James and Carys are the best at helping and answering questions, even ones that haven't been asked.
Their parents must be really proud of their Son and Daughter (in-laws).
Really looking forward to following their Pregnancy and home renovation progress and of course "meeting" baby Whitticker when he or she arrives xxx

This is really informing. As a student midwife, it’s not really our job role to educate people on this kind of thing. I know briefly obviously the anatomy and physiology of ovulation/hormones, but didn’t know about the little things that can make a difference. It’s nice to hear it in a non-clinical way and how people actually react to this kind of information, like yourselves. I loooved this video, very helpful for lots of different people! 💗💗

My story is a little sad so please read with caution!
Back in 2019, I fell pregnant and didn’t have any idea. I went had my scan and found out I was 16 weeks, 1 month later we found out it was a little boy. 3 weeks later at 22 weeks and 3 days, I gave birth to a sleeping angel baby boy 💙
Fast forward to November 16th 2019, I became pregnant again but sadly lost baby at 6 weeks 2 days.
It’s now a year on, my period has started up again and I’m hopeful we will be blessed with a little baby soon.
I truly believe everything happens for a reason and everything will fall into place. Right now we would love another little one and we plan to just going to let things happen when it wants to happen. I really appreciate this video as it’s so helpful. Your honesty is refreshing, thank you so much Carys and James 👼🏻❤️

It’s taken my partner and I three years to fall pregnant, I’m currently half way through the pregnancy and I couldn’t relate more to so many things you touched on here. There’s so much conflict of info and opinions it can be difficult to navigate, from being told “ I’m still young” “it’ll happen when you aren’t trying”, “I didn’t even try”, “just get drunk and it’ll happen” it was endless, and everyone had the best of intentions but after 3 years of negative tests it was heartbreaking. I love that some light is being shed on how difficult actually getting pregnant can be! Like Cary’s said regardless of how long your ttc journey has been you can still feel how you feel!

When we first had unprotected sex I was sure I was pregnant (they pretty much tell you in school that unprotected sex causes you to get pregnant so I was naive also). Eventually I got ovulation test kits and downloaded an app on my phone and found out how it all worked. It took us 5 months as well! Speaking about learning, I would strongly recommend you to research breastfeeding if you are choosing to breastfeed. My first baby came a month early and I had no clue about nipple shields, how long to feed on each side, positions of feeding, pumping, sterilization of pumping items, how long to pump, freezing milk, sore nipples, etc. which was really difficult to do while very sleep deprived. I did it, but wish I was extremely educated on breastfeeding ahead of time so I could properly troubleshoot issues that come up. Love the video! You remind me of myself and my husband. Hugs! 😊❤️💫

So she had to pump and then freeze and all that. I was at her house one day when she was done pumping she was going to run her breast milk in bags to the hospital, she spilt some and just started bawling. Having jo kids I was just sitting there like 😳 not realizing that it was colostrum and basically gold

❤😘 I'm so incredibly happy and excited for you both and mila to be a big sister. Our TTC journey started in May 2016 we had to postpone in September 2017.. I was in kidney failure and on a journey to start dialysis. 20months ago (Feb 2019) I was extremely lucky to receive a life changing/improving kidney transplant. I was told the day after surgery I had a belter (fantastic) of a match and in year we could potentially try for a family. We had planned to get my implant out in march but covid put a stop to that and I went into strict shielding. We are waiting to see an obstetrician to see if it's possible. I don't ovulate. Some of my anti-rejection will need to be changed. We knew at the start of out TTC journey it would be hard but we are hopefully. #kidneywarrior! 💚😘

It’s lovely that you guys can be so open about this. We were the same as you guys, it took us 6 months which isn’t a crazy amount of time and we feel so lucky. But the mental stress is like no other! A month feels like a year and every negative is just so heartbreaking. The minute I thought ‘it wasn’t meant to be’ it happened!! I was so convinced every month I was pregnant but so disheartening when I wasn’t. I was obsessed with research and pregnancy tests! Thank you for being so open and helping others talk ❤️

TTC is such a touchy subject. People are going to be upset and it’s just how it is, a “long time” can be different for everyone. People try for years, people try for months and some try for weeks. I get obsessed while ttc too it just happens it’s hard to “not try”. I loved this video. I’m currently 32 weeks with my rainbow baby boy, after 3 miscarriages last year and a year and a half of trying/waiting. Whoever’s reading this and needs to see this it will happen don’t give up, try not to stress even though it’s easier said than done❤️❤️❤️

I'm a fairly new subscriber, started following after you announced your pregnancy! My husband and I are currently TTC our first baby and we're on our 4th month of 'really' trying - it's tough! At first, I was very chill and then I got into tracking my temperature and symptoms. Unfortunately, I've had two months back to back where I've had a chemical pregnancy which have been utterly heart-breaking but I've tried to stay positive! This video has helped me to see that I'm not alone in my worries and concerns and what will be will be! Thank you

Another thing about tracking ovulation is your body could try and ovulate not succeed then try again, that happened slot in my journey I thought I’d ovulated when actually I hadn’t my actual ovulation was like a week later x

I think it is common for women to try to “control” something that you have no control over. It isn’t easy to get pregnant like everything thinks and makes it out to be, you only hear about accidental pregnancies and teen pregnancies not about the amount of times people have unprotected sex and don’t get pregnant.
I think all of this temperature and symptom stuff is a way of trying to control something that we don’t have control over, of course you can increase your chances by paying attention to ovulation but fundamentally you can’t control everything in life it is full of surprises
Congrats though it is so exciting ❤️

Thank you for being considerate of everyone's journey. I watched so many TTC videos while my husband and I were trying. We tried for 2 years, we were on ovulation inducing medication because I had PCOS. Just when I thought we were getting somewhere I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I had to have a hysterectomy. I will never know the joy of carrying my own child but I was very fortunate to be able to freeze some eggs before starting chemo, maybe I'll be able to have a child via surrogacy or adopt a child some day. My husband thinks I'm crazy for watching people's pregnancy videos and yes, it does make me sad sometimes. But it also makes me happy seeing people's journey and I love babies. I wish you both nothing but the best. You will be great parents. 💕

For anyone on their TTC/ have a baby journey, never give up, try not to compare your journey with someone elses and don't be so hard on yourself 🥰💕

We have been TTC for around 5 years but unfortunately I seem to have secondary infertility due to potential PCOS. However we fell pregnant 2 years ago and unfortunately miscarried which shattered our hearts. Following your pregnancy journey is keeping me sane which honestly sounds so strange but I’m just so so happy for you both and I couldn’t think of two more deserving people to be blessed with a beautiful bundle of your own 💗💙 I’ll never give up hope 🤍

This video was very interesting and reminded me a lot of the early months of trying to conceive. Unfortunately for me I was in the bracket of people who still hadn't been able to get pregnant after a year of trying. We started fertility investigations with our GP and then under a specialist at our local hospital and all appeared to be normal in the beginning - then they discovered that I had premature ovarian insufficiency... basically my ovarian reserve was the same as someone aged 45+ and entering menopause. I was 29.
Nothing prepares you for the pain and sadness of infertility. We were told we should pursue IVF immediately to have any chance of being able to have a genetic child, but that my ovarian reserve was below the threshold for IVF funded by the NHS. We left that appointment feeling like a bomb had exploded in our lives and we were left completely adrift trying to working out how we could pick up the pieces and work out what to do next. We were told our chances of conceiving naturally were less than 1% and that our chances even with IVF were around 5-10%. We attempted 2 rounds of IVF and only created one embryo that could actually be transferred, we got pregnant but miscarried at 6 weeks. We were told we should move on to using donor eggs. Grieving the loss of my genetics and also giving up on the idea of how we thought we would build our family was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
Almost 3 years on from when we started trying to conceive we have now had an IVF cycle with donor eggs and have 3 perfect embryos in the freezer. We have had 3 cycles where we have tried to prepare my body for transferring back one of our embryos and each time my uterine lining has not been able to get to a good enough level to transfer. We have tried different cocktails of medication to try and get my body to do what it needs to do, in fact we are in the middle of a cycle right now. Facing the reality that even with donor eggs this may not happen for us have been more devastation on top of what we have already experienced.
You never know if you are going to be one of the unlucky ones. Somewhere between 1 in 6 and 1 in 8 couples struggle to conceive naturally and sadly we have ended up being one of those couples. It is harder than you could ever imagine. We still hope we might have a happy ending one day, but sadly so, so many people don't. It is heartbreaking.

We tried for 3 years, week before we were supposed to start with IVF we got our first positive test. Gave birth to my precious son 6 months ago. I thougt i would get pregnant each month for the first year. Stopped taking tests after the first year, and just waited for my period and began doubting. I also stopped watching videos about ppl ttc and stopped chatting in ttc forums. Reached out to the hospital after the first year, got in the system, we both got a check up, couldnt find anything. 8 months later i got a surgery, checking my ovaries (think thats the word in english), one was blocked but that shouldnt have anything to say. Over a year later we finally were getting help. We were soooo happy, and started relaxing (everyone tells you should chill out, but thats impossible, even though you know they are right), but we were able to do it by ourselves!
