1) As a backyard mechanic, I recommend the person number the electrical blocks top middle bottom or 123 , just so they don't have to worry about mixing it up. 2) I recommend whenever something is being done, before removing the OEM part, test the new part to confirm that it is actually the fix without going through all the unnecessary labor.

My check engine lights is on but when I plug in my cheap obd2 scanner there’s no codes. Engine does not start up and on the rare occasion it does start and run it runs good for a bit then stalls out. New fuel pump, new battery, new battery cables, new idle throttle control valve, new alternator. Do you think I need a new ECU?
The rest of this video is pretty easy it's take it off put it back on the same way you took it off but there's some clips on here that hold these wiring harness for plugs into the ECU did anybody tell me how the hell you get these loose besides using some kind of electrical cleaner or window cleaner. Can someone please explain do you press on this slide this up you know how do you undo this locking clamp before I rip the wires out or check myself in the nut hospital. Transmission control module may have lost communication with pcm and it's holding codes I bet. Find someone with dealer level scan tool to read and clear tcm codes
Working on a 1995 Ram 1500 with 5.9- Crank/No Start situation, back probing TPS I'm seeing voltage on signal, reference AND ground... PCM Not sending signal to CPS, Cam, etc... So I end up figuring out that the black and light blue wire at the PCM, black plug (far right side plug) is the ground for the sensors, I back probed it and realized it is receiving voltage... I was originally thinking the PCM was bad... I ran a ground to the back probe to see if it would show a ground signal on my voltmeter and sure enough, it did... No voltage being shown now- so I tried to start it up... Fired right up... Hopefully this helps someone... Check pins on the PCM for 12v, and for the 5v reference, and for ground- Orange wire, black and light blue wire, black and tan wires are the PCM ground... Also check TPS and see if it's showing 5v signal, 5v reference and anything on the ground... When I ground the black light blue wire at PCM, the ground on TPS stopped showing voltage...
Hey need some help with my 05, it won’t turn over but the little box that goes around the D for drive and the R for reverse etc... is not around them. I thought they need to be programmed? or did you just get lucky, mine is an 02 ram 1500 5.9
The one I'm buying comes programmed from the site as long as you give them your vin
How is that possible and that issue came out of a different vehicle with a different Vin?Did you not flash it or is that not required
Did it need any programming? Also did your miles and vin come back the same?
Miles and vin are part of reprogramming....of which is necessary. It's not as easy as in this dumb video. The video is VERY misleading.
@@MyBigThing2010 Vin is part of programming mileage is NOT , that's saved to the instrument cluster.

Is it located in the same place as the 1999-2000 Modle Ram 1500

I’ve been told the pcm must be reprogrammed to match my vehicle vin.
Is that totally false?
What’s that gray sensor with the ground next to the air filter? Because on my truck it’s just loose
Mine was loose too. It went to the overhead light in my hood. I leave mine unplugged unless I'm working on my truck at night.
