Drevis Neloren - Master Illusion Texts Quest - TES V: Skyrim HD

A walkthrough of the four locations of the Master Illusion Texts in the college that you need to find for Drevis Neloren (LOVE that name). I can usually find him in either The Hall of Countenance or in The Arcanaeum. You need a level of 90 in illusion to begin this quest. If you're playing an un-patched version of the game you need an illusion level of 100.
Drevis give you the spell Vision of the Tenth Eye which is used to make the books appear... if you're in the correct location.
In no particular order:
Book 1 - Arcanaeum - turn left immediately after entering main circular room. On table next to "The Legend of Red Eagle."
Book 2 - Hall of Countenance - Storeroom on East-ish side of second floor. On top of barrels in back left of room.
Book 3 - Hall of Attainment - NORTH side of second floor stairwell landing (I think I said West in the video). Under bench.
Book 4 - The Midden - In the anteroom to Summoning Chamber there's a desk. Book is on top of desk.

It’s been 11 years since you posted this video and I’d just like to say thank you. I’m playing through Skyrim for the first time in a long, long time with a heavily modded setup. My College of Winterhold looks nothing like vanilla, but this video helped me narrow down the locations of the books. One I had to enable no clip to get to, but I found it in the end!

Great video, thanks! The midden trap door in the hall of countenance under the stairs is a more direct route to the location. I used that right after the 2nd floor storage room then went to the hall of attainment.

Just a warning glitch: you might need to get to illusion 100 if 90 doesn't work

Did have that issue but use muffle over and over its the fastest vanilla way to max illusion while on the go

Write tgm in the console command. Then you can cast the spells whenever and many times you want without losing any magicka. Even with low magicka.
If you don´t know the console command I will tell. The button is § 1/2 just over the TAB- button. When you get to the console command write down tgm and enter. You can close the console by clicking the § 1/2 after you have finished.
