Once you are there buy the arcane accessories creation, it only costs 100 credits and I think you account already comes with 500 points but I might be wrong. But even if you have tu buy credits its still cheaper than buying the whole annkversary edition

For those who don't know, the exact same trick (charge a spell while fast travel) also works with telekinesis, so you can level alteration at 100 instantly, it is just a bit more difficult cause you have to hold the spell while opening the map
@@SenpaiJake From my experience leveling restoration is easy. Get 100% cost reduction, head over to lost tongue overlook and get hit by the soulstone tower. It has consistent dps and if you adjust the damage with resist frost enchants so you take as much damage as 2 uses of your spell heal you can level up real fast.

Because this game is the benchmark for all others. Until something better comes along, this will be the best rgp (D&D style) ever. Ever with all the quirks and bugs. I played it when it first came out on the 360 and always come back to this game. I enjoy playing more now on the series x because there's very little load time and waiting sucks lol. I'm in my 50s and have watched video games progress into what they are today. There have been very few times I have been without a console in my life. I have fond memories of plowing through people to get my PS2 at KB toys.
This was amazing. Trick was to travel as your left hand is still up. I went from Castle Volkihar to Ysgramor's Tomb (next to Winterhold) and went back and forth. Within 10 minutes I went from Level 43 to 83. I mainly wanted to do this to try to get the Legendary Dragon to spawn for that achivement. Cheers
If you talk to jzargo the first time after a destruction level of 75 or higher there is actually an option to tell him that you do and he is happy that there is someone who can challenge him.
For anybody having trouble making it work, please keep in mind that timing is of the essence! Took me a couple of tries before I got it but it worked when I nailed the timing of hitting the map button
@@SenpaiJake What worked for me was hitting the map key as close to when the actual spell casting sound goes off as I could, there's a little charge up kind of sound at first and then when it actually casts that's when I hit M and that did the trick for me Great video btw, I'm not playing as a mage but my leveling has been really slow lately so this helped boost my levels a good bit!
I went to do this but wasn’t fast selecting the map then couldn’t teleport because an enemy was near by. Going back to the world I found out that I’d hit Lydia and she wasn’t carrying my burdens no more, now she was beating me with a weapon I regret enchanting with paralysis, because while it took her a while she did beat me to death. 😅
Lol I enchant everything I can and give it to followers all the time lol I can see how paralysis would be a problem though 😂 just be a little more aware, maybe leave Lydia at home next time 😅

If you don't have the anniversary edition then put your difficulty on adept to level destruction more efficiently. Get a horse and put a rune down under it and fire at the rune with a bolt or flame, etc.
If you don’t see the chest go to the creation club in the main menu and make sure you have spell accessories I downloaded (one of those I think) and reload then boom
For the locations, I use Gromm's Pass (bottom right of the map) and Castle Volkihar (top left of the map) with the mage stone activated. It's guaranteed 15-100. They're both remote so you don't accidently use the spell on people that can cause bounties.
Subscribed. Really appreciate the nostalgia trip this gave. I was never familiar with all the exploits back when Skyrim initially released, but this makes me feel as though I didn’t miss out since this is a new guide. All the more reason to continue my first mage save!

Just getting into this Skyrim for the first time and it is mind blowing the amount of detail and how fleshed out this game is. I am by no means a fan of fantasy type games, but this is an exception. I decided to finally after modding was able to happen easier with a program that auto installs modlists. Couldn't resist at that point.

Did not know about this at all. I've happily beaten Skyrim all sorts of ways so I might just have a little fun and immediately make an arch mage using this. Good stuff.
Protip: The anniversary edition added 2 different versions of Captain's Boots. One pair for some reason allows you to put Chest Armor enchantments on it. Meaning you can give it 25% reduced magicka costs for 2 schools of magic or 35% to one school + 150% increased magicka regeneration with max enchanting and twin souls perk. So you could do the chest and boots both with 35% reduced magicka on destruction and 150% increased regen, leaving your ring and amulet slots with resist all and health for tankiness. 70% reduced destruction cost and 300% increased magicka regen is huge on just 2 item slots. and with perks giving you 50% magicka cost, spells will only cost 50% of the remaining 30%. Meaning a spell which costs 200 will become 30 magicka.
This gave me a really solid chuckle. I'm of two minds about legendary-ing skills an unlimited amount of times, just personal preference, and I tend to play RPG's out very particularly, but sometimes it's just nice to crank something out and get some quick fuckin' perk points. Good stuff my guy
As much as I like that these exploit are available, I always like to RP and level my stuff slowly. It's like a part of the journey for me at this point.
yeah i share this point of view, but sometimes happen that you have complete the main story, sides and guilds quests and only then you realize: "damn this is the end of the journey, i literally set the entire skyrim on fire and my destruction is still lv 49..."
WOOOWWW!!!! I’m impressed, good sir. This worked perfectly and I got 100 Destruction off the first try. After getting the spell I took the whiterun carriage to Markarth, and from Markarth to Riften. I ran for like a minute southeast and then cast the spell, hit the map button, fast traveled to the Markarth stables and had 100 instantly. Thank you for this video! My Orc Mage-Warrior build will be so much easier now!!

This must be a relatively new thing, I wish I'd have known about it sooner!! The only ones that are a ball ache to level for me now are 1 and 2 handed, it's probably best to buy the training, a bonus if the trainer happens to be your follower, since you can dip into their inventory and claim your money back

@@SenpaiJake I feel for you about the house fire, as I had one about 15 years ago and lost everything, and most of my pets, saved the dog though. She died 10 years later, went the same way Harry Anderson from Night Court did.
If you don’t level up after casting the spell, make sure to not have ANY people around you, not even your companions! I thought it was patched or it didn’t just work on switch but it turns out Faendal was just in my way lol. Also you can easily go through the cave if you’re low level if you turn the game to novice
I trusted you. I hauled my fragile, level 13 vampire cleric into this danged cave hoping for the new spells, only to get to the room shown to find only one chest: the locked one. Thinking "Oh, it must be further in.", I pushed on (like an /idiot/), clearing out the dungeon. There was no chest. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. There was only the locked chest, which wasn't even worth the lockpicks I broke to open it...and they were taken from the invisible chest in Dawnstar! Edit: nvm. Just had to get the upgrade for the chest to appear. Sorry!
@@kacperkorol Yeah. I thought it got added already since I only thought it added fishing, saints and seducers, survival, and one more thing, which my game said I already had. But this was easily worth the upgrade.
@@SenpaiJake Same here, especially since the spell used is actually pretty powerful. The only downside is it hurts both friends and foes, so it's actually better to travel alone if you plan to use it. But it practically cleared out Redwater Den.
The way I've recently taken to work on destruction has been to take out hostile encounters in the wild with fire runes. This is way too much cheese for my taste as I try to avoid taking advantage of exploits in my more serious long play runs .(Doing a LotD run atm and want to take my time with leveling as I explore and collect for the museum.) But this can be a really handy trick when just wanting to do short experimental/joke runs.
Gonna try this, see what happens Edit: can confirm it does work. My destruction went from 16 to 91 in just one try. So if you want to power level destruction, this is definitely the way. Did it again and hit 100.
The Frozen Mammoth is in the original Skyrim book, and in the Secondary Map Locations mod. The entrance to the cave IS hard to find, though. It's under the altar. {:o:O:} _(Edited for tyops)_
Important note!: Unsure if anyone’s mentioned this yet and could just be for the ps5 edition but you still have to install the mod through the creation club to have the chest show. Watched this vid and thought my game must have been glitched but after some thought i looked at the hun and there it was!!! Hope this can help anyone P.s This also goes for a lot of the fun stuff in the hub so go take a look
This is so strange. I followed this guide, got to the cave, got to the same room, defeated the enemies...There literally is NO spell tome chest in my game. What the hell...
You could probably activate the applicable standing stone and rest in your bed to cut the distance needed by 27% ish since you'll get a 35% xp bonus if I recall correctly.
Does this involve a mod? Hobs Fall Cave doesn’t have a spell chest for me Edit: I didn’t have Creation Club stuff downloaded, so I’ve been playing the Anniversary upgrade without any of the new content😂

WARNING. I had Barbas, the dog, with me when I first attempted this. The AoE from Unbound Storm caused him to attack me-- you can't get far enough away from him when he's your companion. I could not calm him down; he permanently aggro'd to me. Because he was my "companion" he teleported to wherever I was. I couldn't get away from him, anywhere. Oh, and HE CANNOT DIE. Nothing I could do lowered his health bar at all. I was chased and attacked, all over Skyrim. He was going to kill me and I couldn't kill him. I had to re-load my game from a previous save.
There has to be some kind of prerequisite that wasn’t discussed. I have the anniversary edition and I went all the way through this cave to that same point and everything is there but that chest is missing. Either something else is required prior to entering the cave or that chest has been removed since 🤷♂️
@@Marcuk2024 I had the same issue. What you have to do is go out to the main menu, go to creation club, go to the load order, right click and select download all Owned creations. This will download all the creation club content that was made available with Skyrim Anniversary Edition. If you reload with the content and return to Hobb's Fall Cave, it should be there.
Thanks for the reply, but I checked extensively in the cave, cleared it of all mages and could not locate that chest. Per your video, the chest should be adjacent to the other chest (other side of the shelf). In the Switch version, there’s just an empty space.

That icy plane area has so many secrets to it. I recently went back and was checking around there for fun and found so much shit I've never noticed before.
Beteshda did something special with this game ngl. The elder scroll series is a slow build up of genuinely good content beloved by fans, fans that expand on it with a great modding community, modding community that is helped by Beteshda giving tools and making the games mod friendly, all that to get there. Skyrim is the final stage fr, the perfect symbiosis between the game itself and community work. I don't know what Elder scroll 6 will look like, and we need it, but to be honest I don't know if anything can beat skyrim at what it is.

For those wanting every perk in the game, you'll have to legendary each skill 8 times. This will bring your max level to 252.
You don't have to Legendary each skill, just Legendary alteration over and over since it's the easiest skill to max

YOU have to hold it down a little before ( for level 1 you have to let it get to about half magicka then fast travel)

Same thing happened to me, but my companion was Barbas, the UNKILLABLE demon dog. I had to reload my game from a previous save.
If your gonna enchant an allies weapon I always give them fiery soul trap and then just hand them like 50 petty+ soulgems they will fill them for you

Protip: The anniversary edition added 2 different versions of Captain's Boots. One pair for some reason allows you to put Chest Armor enchantments on it. Meaning you can give it 25% reduced magicka costs for 2 schools of magic or 35% to one school + 150% increased magicka regeneration with max enchanting and twin souls perk.
So you could do the chest and boots both with 35% reduced magicka on destruction and 150% increased regen, leaving your ring and amulet slots with resist all and health for tankiness.
70% reduced destruction cost and 300% increased magicka regen is huge on just 2 item slots. and with perks giving you 50% magicka cost, spells will only cost 50% of the remaining 30%.
Meaning a spell which costs 200 will become 30 magicka.
Where do you find this variant?
Or just give you everything 25 percent and cast 2 schools for free

"damn this is the end of the journey, i literally set the entire skyrim on fire and my destruction is still lv 49..."

WOOOWWW!!!! I’m impressed, good sir. This worked perfectly and I got 100 Destruction off the first try. After getting the spell I took the whiterun carriage to Markarth, and from Markarth to Riften.
I ran for like a minute southeast and then cast the spell, hit the map button, fast traveled to the Markarth stables and had 100 instantly. Thank you for this video! My Orc Mage-Warrior build will be so much easier now!!

I was just thinking about starting a new Mage playthrough when I get off work this afternoon, and Destruction usually takes AGES to level past the 40s. This’ll save a ton of time!

The only ones that are a ball ache to level for me now are 1 and 2 handed, it's probably best to buy the training, a bonus if the trainer happens to be your follower, since you can dip into their inventory and claim your money back

If you don’t level up after casting the spell, make sure to not have ANY people around you, not even your companions! I thought it was patched or it didn’t just work on switch but it turns out Faendal was just in my way lol. Also you can easily go through the cave if you’re low level if you turn the game to novice

I bought the anniversary edition for my Nintendo Switch, and I heard about this, so of course, I had to try it. Pretty cool.
I trusted you. I hauled my fragile, level 13 vampire cleric into this danged cave hoping for the new spells, only to get to the room shown to find only one chest: the locked one. Thinking "Oh, it must be further in.", I pushed on (like an /idiot/), clearing out the dungeon. There was no chest. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. There was only the locked chest, which wasn't even worth the lockpicks I broke to open it...and they were taken from the invisible chest in Dawnstar!
Edit: nvm. Just had to get the upgrade for the chest to appear. Sorry!

@@kacperkorol Yeah. I thought it got added already since I only thought it added fishing, saints and seducers, survival, and one more thing, which my game said I already had. But this was easily worth the upgrade.

@@SenpaiJake Same here, especially since the spell used is actually pretty powerful. The only downside is it hurts both friends and foes, so it's actually better to travel alone if you plan to use it. But it practically cleared out Redwater Den.

The way I've recently taken to work on destruction has been to take out hostile encounters in the wild with fire runes. This is way too much cheese for my taste as I try to avoid taking advantage of exploits in my more serious long play runs .(Doing a LotD run atm and want to take my time with leveling as I explore and collect for the museum.) But this can be a really handy trick when just wanting to do short experimental/joke runs.
That is mainly what it is for I make a rule that when I am seriously playing I can only cheese a skill 10 levels every 3 -5 hours!

My destruction went from 16 to 91 in just one try. So if you want to power level destruction, this is definitely the way.

The Frozen Mammoth is in the original Skyrim book, and in the Secondary Map Locations mod.

Works like a charm. Working on magic recently, I’ve maxed out weapon damage with the restoration potion glitch. So now I’m exploring.
Important note!:
Unsure if anyone’s mentioned this yet and could just be for the ps5 edition but you still have to install the mod through the creation club to have the chest show. Watched this vid and thought my game must have been glitched but after some thought i looked at the hun and there it was!!! Hope this can help anyone

You could probably activate the applicable standing stone and rest in your bed to cut the distance needed by 27% ish since you'll get a 35% xp bonus if I recall correctly.

WARNING. I had Barbas, the dog, with me when I first attempted this. The AoE from Unbound Storm caused him to attack me-- you can't get far enough away from him when he's your companion. I could not calm him down; he permanently aggro'd to me. Because he was my "companion" he teleported to wherever I was. I couldn't get away from him, anywhere. Oh, and HE CANNOT DIE.
Nothing I could do lowered his health bar at all. I was chased and attacked, all over Skyrim. He was going to kill me and I couldn't kill him.
I had to re-load my game from a previous save.

There has to be some kind of prerequisite that wasn’t discussed. I have the anniversary edition and I went all the way through this cave to that same point and everything is there but that chest is missing. Either something else is required prior to entering the cave or that chest has been removed since 🤷♂️

@@Marcuk2024 I had the same issue. What you have to do is go out to the main menu, go to creation club, go to the load order, right click and select download all Owned creations. This will download all the creation club content that was made available with Skyrim Anniversary Edition. If you reload with the content and return to Hobb's Fall Cave, it should be there.

Thanks for the reply, but I checked extensively in the cave, cleared it of all mages and could not locate that chest. Per your video, the chest should be adjacent to the other chest (other side of the shelf). In the Switch version, there’s just an empty space.

Skyrim is the final stage fr, the perfect symbiosis between the game itself and community work.
I don't know what Elder scroll 6 will look like, and we need it, but to be honest I don't know if anything can beat skyrim at what it is.
