It's should be no mystery as to why Chris Wong gets the VIP solo room treatment. That's because R/C knows a good employee when they have one. They know that when it absolutely positively has to get done they can call on Chris Wong. They know that some can't do it and others won't do, but they can call on Chris Wong because he's used to it. I would say of course you got your single cabin back. You did them a big favor. You could have said I am going to quit and left them hanging. Thanks for uploading. I been watching vlogs of cruise ship workers for a week...and I dont know why...but its interesting, certainly an alternative lifestyle with its ups and downs. I wish you the best of times with that contract.
My prediction is this is your last stint as an Assistant Host. You will be offered Host on a slightly smaller ship. And my prediction is you will do that only for a short while, and then you will be promoted agan. Something related to marketing and cruise promotion.
Are there much differences between your job as an Assistant Host and when you were the only Host on Explorer? I would hope there would be some pay upgrade while you were a Host, as opposed to an Assistant Host. I would also hope that this experience would have been a benefit to your job experience/CV/Resume if you are able to negotiate pay for your future contracts. You bring a lot of value being able to take on that challenge. Kudos to your hard work and enthusiasm for ship life. I can't wait to hear what you will be up to next after this contract ends. I hope you can get above 100K before you get off this ship. Create as many videos as you can! Would love to see a 'Spa tour' of the ship if they'll let you do that.

You may think you're being repetitive. However, I've been given a short travel experience in foreign countries I'd not otherwise have seen. Good or bad whether the weather or food I've appreciated your taking me along!!😊
Love the Oasis class ships, only been on Harmony of the Seas so far but been on her twice. I would like to get back on one next year but I have two cruises booked at the moment on Celebrity. One in August this year to Greenland and Iceland, and one next year in Greece. May try to sneak one in between if i can find a good deal.
You might want to concentrate on the ports and do videos showing the food and places to visit. Especially since you visit the same ports. Piece them together so you can show at least 3 different restaurants showing the location, menu and what was good and you actually eating it. Just a suggestion.
The symphony of the sea is my favorite Royal ship. Going to be sailing in January on the symphony for the 4th time. Hopefully you will be there then. I love your posts.

As an officer, it was always normal to have a single cabin. But when I heard the troubles that can occur with sharing.. happy for u!
The "lollipop" is a Blow Pop, I believe. They have bubblegum in the center. One of my childhood favorites in terms of candy.

Being a manager on explorer, does that allow you to try for host instead of assistant host on your next cruise or so?
