In this video I give my overal thoughts on the game and what I think about this whole discussion. Enjoy!

I never called it a cod killer, because you can't ill what is already dead. And to me, CoD died years ago. I almost picked up the new modern warfare, but discovered I couldn't be asked!
The main things I liked about CoD, and why I massively preferred it to Battlefield was the small maps and the fast paced gameplay. So Xdefiant scratches that itch, and I have been enjoying the hell out of it.
And you argue if it is or isn't a CoD clone.... If you look how different CoDs have been. It is not just one game. They could easily have come out with something like this. They already kind of had operators in BO3.
I call it a good game, and a breath of fresh air. And yes, I do resort to say it is like CoD with some overwatch mixed in, because that is things and concepts most (at least gamers) understand, and know. I don't need CoD to die, as many have pointed out, competition is a GOOD thing. But I can say my friend who have played every CoD, every day, for at least a decade. Have not opened CoD the last 2 weeks.
Xdefiant is so much better and 100000 times more fun than cod. Cod is one of the worst games ever made last 10 years

xdefiant is one of the most boring games ive ever played. Once you get your gun to level 50 theres literally nothing else to do. Cod is fun bc you can grind camos and prestige camos

@@stridemotion3838 it is still a game in pre season mode, essentially testing the player bases reactions and anticipating feedback so that they can mold the game into something more fun. Those things will be added soon, we’re already getting so much new content July 2nd
People who play XD don’t refer to it as a COD killer…that’s just a term most content creators use for clickbait.

Alright then, how would you describe x defiant? The issue isn’t what ppl call it, it’s that it isn’t unique, it lacks an identity.
@@hertz_5412 for now it’s something new and I’m having fun playing it. Which was more than I could say for the current state of COD. I don’t see the need to classify something further than just another FPS.
@@hertz_5412It is unique cuz it prefectly recaptures what old day CoD did so well. Sure there is a lack of polishednes in the netcode, the amount of Content, engaging Features like killcam etc... but the core of the Game, a fast paced arcade Shooter without any Form of sbmm makes it unique by Default.

This game and Cod are both trash for different reasons, Xdefiant sucks because of the netcode and clunky gameplay and Cods trash because they put more effort into battlepasses and skins than they do the actual game.
Both games have their downsides, which doesn't necessarily mean they suck. I have heard that the net code is getting patched up over the coming weeks in XD but I honestly don't even know what to expect from CoD

X defiant greatly lacks an identity and it would need to fix its fundamental issues before anyone can take it seriously as the “COD killer” of halo couldn’t, what makes you think this can?

This is not a COD killer. Not by a mile. But its a good COD alternative. Look at Ironsight, its really good but it hasn't killed COD at all. In my opinion its better than COD multiplayer rn for me. No EOMM and SBMM is just a must for games now, especially when seeing the positive reception of not having it. I could go on for a bit more but I will stop yapping. In conclusion, great game, no SBMM and EOMM, longer time to kill so its actually more than just 2 shots, i quite like the factions/specialist. PS: pls do a Halo MCC vid (play Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Reach those games are epic!
