This album was- is… something special. Like the universe was created so that at one point in time and space it would exist.

Sometimes I hear this song and think, ain’t no way a couple humans wrote this thing. It feels like it was crafted by holy hands.
Like, Is he aware that the words he chooses to use on this album are beyond perfect? What person can thinks up such beautiful strangeness as “well become silhouettes when our bodies finally go”? That’s a wildly artistic sentence. This whole album feels religious or spiritual. Some gods had their fingers in this thing.

It's a reference to the silhouettes left behind on walls in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Turns out if you're in the right blast zone of a nuclear strike you get vapourised & all that's left are like these weird permanent shadows on whatever wall you were next to.
Makes me feel so somber and yet so hopeful. It’s like the end of a storm and the sun just begins to slowly beam out beautifully!
