Hi, I loved seen your videos, amazed me your passion, passion and knowledge about Mexican Saltillo tiles. I have a big problem in my bedroom floor the installed the Saltillo about 10 years ago and now its showing like a white foam on top of some tiles. Can you help me to identify what that is please? And what can I do to solve my situation. Thank you
One-off situation. I'm matching a saltillo tile that has been acid stained. Like you, the installer insists that the new saltillo must be sealed before installation. The acid stain rep insists that the stain needs to be placed on unsealed tile, since it needs to penetrate into the tile. After staining, the tile gets coated with a good sealant The local saltillo rep suggests installing unsealed saltillo and using a grout release (Aqua Mix) instead of a sealant prior to grouting, then acid stain, then sealant. First do a mock-up, of course. As a homeowner, I'm told many different things, with a mock up being the only sure bet
Hi thanks for the video, just bought Mexican raw terracotta tiles for our new house here in Australia. Super excited however I’m very wary of them being porous and getting the most out of them. Do you have a video on how to pre-seal them?
I bought arsilla (clay) from Colombia. The installer did a beautiful job installing it. But after sealing it the next day white patches appeared everywhere. Cleaned it again with a recommended cleaner but it didn’t work. I was recommended to use a shiny sealer so I did but it started to peal specially if it got wet. The tire marks are very hard to remove. Would you be kind to offer a solution? From the video it looks that you know your job well.

Questians: My guys put 3 layers of linseed oil now. What to do next? Preseal, and then what kind og grout do I use? Our terra-cotta tiles are really raw. So they sock up the oil very well. This is my kitchen floor by the way, so I need it to be easy to clean when everything is finish. And this is not a normal floor to lay here in Sweden, so I’m reaching out for help. Thank you very much if you have the time to answer me sir. Best Regard Vibecke
Thanks for taking the time to educate everyone
Thank you! Love your no bulllshit attitude and passion for what you do!

Thank you so much! One question. If you pre-seal the sides, won't they interfere with the adhesion of grout to the tile sides?
Bought arcilla tiles from Colombia for my garage. Installer did a beautiful job installing, but the sealing part has been a night
