I love watching Kripp's vids after a long stressful day. I don't know what it is. The intro video he makes, where he explains stuff and talks directly to us makes me feel at ease. Kripp seems like the kind of guy who can make you feel at ease whenever you need it haha. He talks so calmly and stuff. I don't hope this comes off as creepy though haha!

I have done some absolute bullcrap with the hat, Rivendare, and Feign Death. I also think a hat on a Deathlord is pretty strong. 3/9 vs 2/8 is a big upgrade because the list of what the Deathlord kills in 1 hit just got huge.

I find using it with rivendare usually fills up my hand with hats. Seems like the more hats you have the more of a liability they become. Oh and hi vechs :)

I think 15:45 was a misplay. You could of traded the water elemental first to give you a better chance of flamewaking 2 on the chugger, which you then could of pinged. The odds would of been reduced from a 1/9 to a 1/4. These stats make me moist.

Explorer's Hat isn't used as much because it's more likely the minion that is used for it gets wiped and you end up with the card in your hand. But it can help if you want a little extra boost in survival.

I am skeptical that the coin is better than innervate.
Explorer's Hat can have potential effect beyond trading. There's a chance to have more than 2 in hand at any given time, but being able to implement it is tuff. Echoing Ooze gets you 2 Hats for one when they die if you have dropped a Hat on Ooze. If you're able to drop a Faceless on the turn that you dropped Echoing Ooze with Explorer's Hat, you get 3 hats with the 4th all returning to hand when the respective minions die. Having a Djinni of Zephyrs in play during any of this also helps increase the potential hats in hand. But to make any use of the bulk of them later on during a single turn requires a 1, 2, or 3 drop charge minion. A tuff deck to make work. It could never carry you up ladder and would be a joke in arena, but it would be fun just to see it work once

Ah, now I get what you meant. I think he is working pretty hard on making his videos. He is very good at scheduling and works very strict to give us consistent and high quality content for our everyday.
Not quite sure how it got to this stage, but I was playing against a Hunter with my makeshift Patron Warrior deck (about rank 14 at the time), and he deployed a hat + Baron Rivendare strategy. What I had in my hand at the time couldn't kill rivendare off right away, so he managed to get a hand full of hats (and a board full of creepers and sludge belcher slimes). I then played mirror entity to copy the 5-hat rivendare, which died and gave me 5 hats. Too bad he had 10 more hats in hand, otherwise I might've stabilized.
Basically, that Hearthstone match was TF2 level of hats. HATS FOR DAYS!

I wonder how useful it would be in a control hunter with lock and load as the endgame, with the hat, it may allow for some interesting interactions. you will always have a spell for lock and load.

I just started playing a deathrattle hunter and the explorer's hat is so verry helpfull! I usually able to duplicate it and the value it gets is insane
It just gives you something to spend your mana on in the late game. The analogy to the hero power is hugely optimistic I agree entirely with Kripp, it's the other factors that cause it to be good.
Kripp was playing with Pupparian, nothing unusual, until he hears a sound imitating from his room, he goes to investigate and finds a box, with a sentence written on it.

Explorers hat is pretty underrated. It's more of a late game value card when you run out of cards and need to control the board. Using the hat multiple times when making trades gets insane value out of it and if you do get it in the early game, it's not absolutely terrible either.
Could you imagine explorers hat with two of the spells cost one less mage minions with dreadsteed and pre nerf warsong?

1/1 minions are just as good as 2/2 if you have a unlimited ammount of them so explorers hat would not add too much to the combo only one extra face damage
I am skeptical that situation would ever occur due to it requiring cards from 4 different classes.

Summoning Stone and Auctioneer are pretty good as combo with the Hat. Not competitive but fun. =)

Is it possible to make a working control hunter deck that is kinda fatigue in a way, and wins entirely by using their hero power? Well, not entirely, but the idea is that you wouldn't let them play anything and you slowly whittle them down turn by turn, maybe with the occassional minium that survives their controlling... I'll experiment.
