It also debuted through the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show with the Chinese market, and created its North American debut on the 2019 New York Auto Show in April to the North American market. The eighth generation Sonata utilizes a new third-generation architecture and showcases Hyundai's latest "Sensuous Sportiness" design language which had been first previewed with the Le Fil Rouge concept. The styling is less conservative plus more pronounced in comparison to the previous generation. It now sports a fastback-like shape, and features driving lights which run completely up the hood and full-width, C-shaped taillamps. The fastback style recalls the sedans in the mid 1930s as well as the 1940s, a trend that made those sedans most well-known for, as you move the C-shaped taillamps, which might be also located in the 2018 Honda Accord as well as the Honda Civic have already been compared to and paid homage on the car tailfins with the 1950s. The interior continues to be redesigned significantly at the same time, with the optional 12.3 inch digital cluster and 10.3 inch center screen. It will probably be available with two engines at launch, both of that happen to be I4s: a turbocharged 1.6L unit with 180 horsepower plus a naturally aspirated 2.5L unit with 191 horsepower. The latter engine replaces the first sort 185-hp 2.4L unit. The safety system, which comprises three radar systems, five cameras and thirteen ultrasonic sensors, makes for driver-assist features including standard adaptive cruise control, forward-collision braking, and lane-following assist.
