Even after years these videos are priceless, thx lot for sharing, this is really helpful!
Much respect for putting your work process online, it's really helpful for other inexperienced artists to see how an experienced person works.
I like how you spent hours making his muscles very detailed and then covering him head to toe. lol
Why do you like it?
San Who doesn’t like details? 😏
@Chopsy The Homicidal Maniac this is literally the reason why... i can never understand why those who say "durhurhur he's gonna have clothes on anyway" cant put two and two together.
He might make different variations of the same character from this one model.
@@resikek1207 aye, normally I would NEVER start from scratch on any character unless its something I have never done before. He can either sell this model or re-use it himself and save a TON of time = winwin!
It’s a good practice. For example: it’s makes the process of clothing easier and accurate; you can reuse the model.
Remember kids, REFERENCE is the key to success!!!
And also remember kids, reference does not mean copy everything from it. Or trace it
@@meepgoesrawr6168 I agree with you!
Key to succea is a experience
Muhammad faisal you can do something wrong multiple times, and you will never improve
And remember kids , to scult you must have skills not just the reference
and also learn obout muscles and the anatomy of the body

Hard work and dedication.
When i was watching this the first thought that came to my mind was that if someone 2000 years ago saw this video could be the begining of a new religion
Lol they would literally think they're watching god create another human

Never learned so much in a speedsculpt, THANK YOU!
Can someone explain why he had to do details for the body even though he was gonna be wearing clothes?
Probably because he can do it reasonably fast and in case he needs to have the character shirtless or whatever.
Likely to have an accurate foundation to lay the clothes on.
TheOneAndOnlySame oh ok thanks
You see why he needed to do the body when he made the pants, the Quad and calf was already mixed pretty much just from extending the lower body out to form pants
also to make multiple characters.
Dude, I'm 1 minute in and all I can say is that I love how you literary model in the tendons and muscle strains before you refine with more details. I can see how that helps the build up of the final piece. Quite impressive.
Can't stop watching this vid. It such a great work. Every time I see it, it inspires me.
Oh wow! Thank's man!)
cool music and awesome sculpt, thx for this video
Awesome work! thanks for sharing! I would love to see a tutorial or guide about your process for body measurement, I see you import some kind of primitive from Maya to help measuring the body. Interesting!
Thanks)
Dude you are too kind. you should actually pack this up into a workflow tutorial and sell it!
Why? There are advantages of this free timelapse video. He can gain fans and population, ppl can notice him easily in the future, its kinda good advertisement. Its not all about money.
@@fractalelement857 thanks genius
I would definitely buy it and also be a fan. Impressive work and lots of information, the problem to sell this is that this is a timelapse not a tutorial, if he made one version that is slower and he give us some tips would be amazing (or another character teaching us some tips, pls :3).
Georgian avasilcutei amunet full character is a great course and have a similiar workflow, but for the purpose of the tutorial is more simple, not heavy on cloths and attachments, and he uses DDO to texture (not a problem but i work with substance u.u but you still can learn a lot).
@@LuccasAvila I have to agree I have spent lots of money on tutorials in the past that do not come close to showing this much workflow and determination and technicality. The value here is phenomenal.
@@fractalelement857 go do something without money idiot

League of legend hehe me too also i wanna Abyss Watchers character :)
@watashi definitely didnt know any of that, but i think it would still make a great character, wouldnt it?
Just Wow! How Much Time it Take For u? To Complete Whole Process? Days? Week? Months?
Bro you are super It's mind blowing. Bro make video of it in in slow motion and teach us that how are you doing this, even if you make 100 videos for teaching i watch all of them but teach us in parts.
You came 3rd place? How 🤔
Exactly What I'm looking for a few days on RUclips, thank you.
I seen you remade the clothes in marvelous designer on the base mesh, not this sculpt. Did you use this sculpt in any way to get the final result or did you scrap this and start back from square 1 with marvelous designer?
Just wondering cause I’m just now Getting into sculpting and don’t know what I should sculpt and what should be made separate and attached. Mainly clothes and accessories
I did the clothes twice just to get the proportions and how it should look in the end, I didn't go into detail on the sculpt and made it pretty quickly. In fact, this was not required, it was just that the character was complex and it was easier for me to understand its structure.
Do you need a tablet for something like this? Can't use a mouse, right?
Tablet for sure, lol
Can you please what kind of brushes did you use here? to bring these growths and so on, for a newbie, I will be grateful.
Honestly insane work, how long did this project take you?
Wait, in which part of the video he retopologize the base mesh? Did he use ZRemesher to the whole body?
This video is absolutely Dope!!!!!

Great, i'm just trying to figure out how this program works cuz i'm making some kind of 3d modeling software for a 3d game
Amazingly beautiful work! Thank you so much!
Great soundtrack and sculpting!
Sorry for being lazy and not google this but...since you 3d modeled this...can it be used on maya...or to create a gaming character for ex?
How long experience do you have? 5years?
Kirill Nalimov this is a joke right? Sorry can’t tell 😂
It will be more than 10 years, cuz this is a veery high level
Senior, 10 or 15 years.

I'm pretty sure that concept art is supposed to be a Zen Buddhist "monk"/spy... and that thing he's carrying on his back is a tengai (a kind of "basket hat") along with a shakuhachi (Japanese flute).

It looks like you modeled it as some kind of container with a lid and handle...
It is difficult to learn to use ZBrush? I use PS and wasn't difficult for me to learn how to use it. But this seems much harder than it looks:)
Great job. Do you have slower version of the video?
where did you get that 3d scan of male body? I want need one for reefrence.
Невероятно! Очень крутая работа!
Love these videos , these are GOLD! Thank you so much for these!
Hi Ilya can you tell me what is the application that you use to do the mood board or any one in the comments can answer this question.
Ничего себе работа шикарная!!!
So this man is actually wearing no underwear.
He's a commando. Duh.

How the heck do you make looks so dope like this? Amazing!!! Breathtaking
Can we learn that too
I m interested in such kind of art
Any suggestions
Thank you for recording the whole process, this is really helping me a lot.
honestly the music is awesome
i mean so is the whole process, but the music! lol
why not just use the imported base mesh that u used for refrence?
Which models did you use for reference? Are they body scans? Where did u get them?
Imagine the pain rigging this character
OMFG this Amazing work 😊😊😊
Thank you)
I am new to Zbrush, how do you get more than one object in the scene and combine them to one piece to sculpt?
what if we photo scan a person and use meshroom to create photoreal character? won't that be superfast🤨
Круто, такие как вы вдохновляют таких как я))
WOW !!! The talent is here GG !!!!
This is awesome, but clearly a pain in the ass to Rigg that, lot of worrk!! ;D
Rigging would be much easier then making a character like that quality :D At least for me.
Is there a seperate anatomy program you're using under zbrush? When you work on the feet I see you clip into a different program. I'm curious as to what it is!
Is zbrush an easy software to use? Results are astounding!
Great job. Do you have real-time version of whole series?
You should add this to your artstation, its amazing man. congrats
This was for an artstation contest.
Q incrível ,imagino o trabalho q deu *TOP*

which software you use....
*Caraca eu nunca vi um trabalho tão perfeito de modelagem como esse velho parabéns você tem muito talento para fazer personagem*

I like it how you did all of that work. But what is funny that his Hat you actually made it into some kind of pot instead :D
Thanks. Yeah I didn’t understand what it was at first xD
@@IlyaGagarin It is fine. The result is amazing, it was just funny :D
What's up with the finished model at 2:18? Just for reference? Is it ZBrush own model? I've never used ZBrush before so I don't know :'')
thats another scanned male body mesh. Just using it as referance. 👍
May I ask , what is the program , sir? I really want to learn it .
Actully I see it after a sec 🤣
zBrush
Блин, ждал ждал когда он повязку на ухе поправит, так и не поправил). Повязка сквозь ухо проходит!
Did he do this with a graphics tablet or a mouse?
Just to confirm, you didn't have to do any retopology or unwrapping for this did you?
You were just able to texture directly on the mesh by painting?
Cheezecake 73 his final submission is 99k tris, so it had to be retopologised and uv mapped
K1TT3N where does it say that? And he literally painted it on, why would he have to UV map it at that point?
Maybe he made it into a low poly version, but are you saying he made perfect faces on this mesh?
I'm assuming you were just guessing but if you have any actual info please send it my way.
Super cool. Did you lack your own library of base meshes, or was it part of the contest rules to start from nothing?
I wanted to practice anatomy sculpting
@@IlyaGagarin well that's a good reason to do it from scratch for sure.
Why do you duplicate the body when working on a part of it?
sometimes when you sculpt you just make it worse than before, I make a duplicate so that you can quickly compare and find out whether there is progress or not
That's genius. Thank you @@IlyaGagarin for sharing your knowledge with us.
What program do you use to create those
how important is the size of the model (lets say in centimeters) ?
Not critical, but I try to always stick to real sizes from the very beginning. For this character, I initially set a height of 170 cm. If the model is small, it will be difficult to work with it in other programs such as Marvelus or 3d max, the model can always be scaled, but it’s better to put the correct size at start.
@@IlyaGagarin if I put the model 170cm my brush size on 1% is kinda too big sculpting details, pores etc. There is always something I need to do without alphas by hand.
@@fractalelement857 Zbrash works oddly enough with the size, it sets the brush size depending on the first subtul, try to create a 30x30 cm cube and import it into a new scene in ZBrash, then load your model into the cube scene using zplugin - subtoolMaster - multiAppend, then the size of your brush will depend from the cube. This should help.
Anyone Knows the Song´s Name? It is noone of the named above.
How god created us with out a template or something like that
From nothing to prefect body a vehicle u drive to go through life
Que programa utiliza para hacer los personajes?
What is he using, tablet or mouse?
Quick beginner question-why are his arms somewhat down, instead of being held in a full T-pose posture?
You don't really need a full T-pose most of the time. If the person who will be rigging it can do with that then it's all fine
Rick Toboni Makes sense! Thanks 👍
@@vobo2626 You're welcome bud :D

i want to ask, is it advisable to use zsphere for games?
Sir, I admire your ability to create anything! Watching you sculpt and model is so satisfying lol (ps. bgm is great also)
is it okay if i use sculptris pro instead of dynamesh?
so if i wanted to make clothing mods for a game, will this be where should i start?
very nice work impressive man , but i have question in part 1 you did all the character's cloths why you remade it with marvelous ?
