The funny thing is, before Sonic Frontiers came out, there was another Speed Platformer game, Spark The Electric Jester 3 (Which is amazing and needs more recognition), that had this same exact kind of speedrunning glitch. I guess speed platformers going forward will inevitably have this glitch if there's even an ounce of momentum in the game lol
Ok, you got to do Battle rush cause if Ya didn't know you get a reward for S ranking everything. I don't wanna say exactly what it is if you don't know. But it involves cyberspace & the game encourages you to use the Homing dash For A REASON!!! And the asterisk for the homing dash makes even more sense.
You have me extremely hyped! I was actually gonna make a video on the Battle Rush very soon! Hopefully I can get to it in time. The reward for getting A-S ranks in the Cyber Space challenges was already really cool, so I can’t wait to see what you’re talking about!

Lmao, I definitely feel called out for using it, but Kishimoto mentioned that it doesn’t make a difference whether or not use the homing dash. Mostly just a way to distinguish between speed runners using it and those who aren’t imo.

It has nothing to do with momentum. It has everything to do with having a homing attack while also having a dash move!

I don't think it's cheating, I just think that it's there so it doesn't get confused with legitimate speedruns
Also i have the powerboost in cyberspace and i cant really gauge how much faster it is compared to the regular boost, what do you think?
It’s definitely faster! Sometimes it can make a huge difference. Other times it only feels slightly faster. It depends
