    My baby is very set in commando crawling, his our first baby so we never thought alot of his behaviours could be a problem because everyone says he will do things in his own time bit I had problems with my hips when I was 7 and under and needed physiotherapy, our son is very active and gets anywhere he wants threw walking in his walker and army crawling but it's clear his having trouble crawling properly his able to get on his hands and knees sometimes when his not moving but as soon as he wants to move he drops and army crawls instead. He had problems when he was rolling aswell he wasn't very smooth with it all but has no problem rolling and moving around now. He can stand while holding onto something but is very wobbly but can't sit or stand without us sitting him first or standing him against something. And he can't go from sitting to crawling without just falling over and bumping his head. His very happy and always gets into everything his not meant to but it's always just the army crawl or in his walker he's not trying to sit on his own and crawl properly or pull himself up onto the couch to stand seems to hard for him. His 10 months old and a very bright and smart boy I don't want you to think I'm saying his incapable or silly because he's definitely not but I do think he might have problems with his hips or struggling to move in the normal way and might need some help to get stronger. I had problems when I was young but as and adult and even growing up iv been fine since I got my physiotherapy when I was little

      With what you are describing, the development is not optimal. In your case, with a bright and active boy, he would be more prone to injury and may not be able to go to and maintain any advanced sporting activities. If you are fine with your sons current development, go with it, but if you want his development to be more optimal, I would love to see a video of him on my facebook group and give you direction on how to strengthen his milestone foundations that you described had a rocky beginning. find my group here, facebook.com/groups/1508200962782191

    Honestly your entire page is so inappropriate. It’s like your only objective is to scare everybody. Your one video says baby should be rolling by 3/4 months. Which is just ridiculous. My baby didn’t start rolling until 7/8 months. He didn’t crawl untill 10. He is fine now he is totally normal. And he keeps up with his peers fine. You realize milestones soon are just averages right. Which means some people can me earlier and some people be late. But again all you do is scare every parent that is googling stuff. You given no positivity in any of your videos. All you try to do is scare everybody. What is the point of your stuff? It’s fine with being realistic but you are nothing but negative.

      Babies should be rolling over by 2.5 to 3 months old to indicate that optimal development is happening on it's own in the baby. If not, parents should do a little more to be proactive in their child's development. Milestones as you know it are just averages, so if the average changes, so do the milestones, and development should not be something that changes. The biggest warning sign is that the average of development is changing and the average is getting worse, which is the biggest disservice to parents. The timeline I work off of is a constant and time-dictated. Meaning, based on set timeline, certain milestones should be happening, and if not, it indicates that the child needs help with development. The help could be minor or it could be very severe. The minor is being missed and their challenges are being caught until the baby is in their teens or later. The ADD or clumsiness, or lack of interest is attributed to that's just how they are, verses the milestones not setting up like they needed to. Now a child that has some movement gliches, but you make the kid go outside and you are an involved parents, you can work on the movement gliches without even knowing it. But if a baby has movement gliches and then they are placed in an environment that compounds the gliches, a baby that didn't have problems, has problems later and the parents are oblivious poor milestone foundations playing a role in their child's challenges. Now a child that has major signs of delay, the baby is not getting help becuase the check up for this is not until 9 months old. The parent has been worried, and their worries are swept under the rug. When the doctor is finally acknowledging delays, it's the parents fault for not being more proactive.

      Totally agree with this comment. I have seen many of your videos and you come off as so negative and just weird. You talk gibberish sometimes that doesn't make any sense, move your body around weirdly and you'll reference your course for literally any small thing and you profit off of it. Encourage people to see actual doctors. Not this nonsense.

    • @movementlesson

      I 100% encourage to see their doctors where it necessary. Doctors are not doing anything and parents are not getting the help they need to help their child experience optimal development.

    Thanks for the video! How do I help my son turn from inchworm crawl to normal? Do you have any tips?

      I would need to see a video of your child to give you advice specific to your son's movement needs. I do free movement reviews on my Facebook Group, facebook.com/groups/MovementLessonParentsPractitioners.
      I do have a crawling course, if you want to jump into that, but if you go through the course and it doesn't work, then there is something more serious going on with your son's movement structure. You will need to work on more foundational movements to help him be successful with his craw.
      Here is the link to my crawling course: www.movementlesson.academy/crawling-course-exercises
      Here is the link to my course on movement structure and how to start working with it. The course is free and it's titles "What is Movement Lesson." www.movementlesson.academy/what-is-movement-lesson-youtube

      I would need to see a video to give you more details. It's not optimal but as far as it's seriousness I would need to see what the whole body is doing. Please post a video on my Facebook Group - facebook.com/groups/MovementLessonParentsPractitioners

    Hi! Your videos are wonderful. So my LO has torticollis and he was trying to army crawl( I think) but keeping his head down. He’s pretty great with tummy time so I’m concerned.

    • @movementlesson
      @movementlesson  Год назад

      Hello you should be concerned. There should be no torticollis at this stage of development. Can I see a video? Post it to my private Facebook group Movement Lesson for Parents and Practitioners. Tummy time should have been great at one month - not 7 or 8. Michelle

    This is very interesting. Our daughter started commando crawling at 3.5 months. About 4 weeks later or 4.5 months she discovered playing with her feet exactly how you described, pumping them. Now just a few days ago, at exactly 5 months old she’s get into the classic crawl position and rocking and sometimes lunging forward. All of this she’s figured out on her own for the most part. She’s a very active girl and wants to move. We give her lots of tummy time. Well, she’s independent in that way now. Now she chooses. Sometimes she likes to roll back over on her back to play with her feet again and she really enjoys it too.
    My question is would you say she is advanced in all of this or right along average? I ask because she is a very demanding baby, high energy, so we are just looking at the right way to parent her. It seems to me she is maybe slightly advanced but I’m no expert and I try to be objective with my own child. Thx

      You need to evaluate you baby with the Newborn Movement Assessment. a 0 to 4 score would mean she is more advanced. Learn how to evaluate her in my free course, www.movementlesson.academy/offers/JP8xNyBr/checkout. That course will give you direction on how to proceed with your daughter.

    Do you mean tummy crawling is not normal?
    My baby is 8.5 months old and she started doing tummy crawling

    • @movementlesson

      If development is happening optimally, no the baby should not be tummy crawling.

    Its funny how here in Hungary all pt experts are worrying about babies skipping army crawling and now you say it is not normal part of baby's develeopment
    Also, you say baby should sit up from their back. While in Hungary everybody would be in shock if babies would do that especially at the age you think it is normal. Here babies sit up from crawling position at 9 month of age... Then there are the parents who should know whats best for their children with so different opinions...

    • @movementlesson
      @movementlesson  8 месяцев назад

      That's the problem is there shouldn't be so many "opinions" among professionals. While some kids are lucky and in a sense and up "okay" more and more that is become an abnormal thing. Kids are not okay and they are not getting the help they need to have optimal functioning. We are here to do that. If a parent want's to take a chance that their child will be okay. They can do it, but we provide the resources and tools to know now if okay is in the future or if its not.

    Ah, the classic "I'm going to scare you into buying my products" bit. This is a big scam. You are scaring people over nothing to try and make money. You should be ashamed of yourself taking advantage of vulnerable new parents. Absolutely ashamed.

    • @movementlesson
      @movementlesson  6 месяцев назад

      Vulnerable new parents are being told that everything is okay, when any baby that is army crawling is not okay, and the parent needs to do something about it to start optimizing the baby's movements because no body else is doing anything about it. I have nothing to be ashamed of. I get thousands of emails for parents saying, "Thank you for saying something when nobody else is." "Thank you for teaching me how to help my baby move." The biggest disservice you will to to any parent is telling them not to worry and that their baby is okay when you don't know development. You are not a development expert. I am.
