When I thought "What price would I buy this at with no hesitation?" $20 (well, €20, same thing) was what I came to, and I'm cheap, so definitely a good price! Especially with the launch discount and bundle discount, assuming it'll be in the Suspicious Developments Games Collection. Though admittedly the people who are fan enough to watch these dev logs are probably a relatively easy sell. I look forward to playing the complete game!
Hi Tom, I don't know if you read these comments, and I'm sure you're fed up of people giving you half-baked advice on your wrists - but in case it helps you: when I had fairly severe RSI I was lucky enough to see a physio who gave me some stretches to do that worked for me. I find it hard to explain in words, but essentially I was told that my particular form of RSI was due to very tight/tense muscles in my forearms, and so was given stretches for those muscle groups. I was told to do three repetitions, on each arm, every hour, of every day, each repetition holding the stretch for up to 30 seconds. I discovered that there was a real knack to performing the stretches in a way that struck a balance between achieving a good stretch, but not straining the muscle and causing it to hurt more. I don't recall the exact timescales, but I found that over the course of weeks my RSI became much more manageable, and over the course of months I was able to do the stretches increasingly infrequently. These days, several years later, I now just do the stretches when the RSI flares up every few months. I hope you find a solution that works for you, when my RSI was bad it was a really dark time for me mentally - as I'm a massive computer nerd who relies on computers for my hobbies and profession! The mic is super quiet, I can barely hear it. If there's a way to raise the volume in post, that'd be great though. But anywho, I'm really looking forward to the release, I loved that demo! EDIT: Also don't worry about making yourself laugh lol, I do the same all the time. :P
This is a radical solution, but have you considered trying to use eye-tracking cursor software to further reduce the need for manual inputs? You mention needing to give your hands a break and that "everything uses your hands," and it occurs to me that not everyone has the use of their hands.
I usually wait for a sale on pretty much everything I want to play, but I'm getting TBW day one for sure. I've been enjoying Tom's writing and games work for over a decade now (??) but TBW is 100% laser-targeted at me to such an extent that I wish I'd been able to somehow work on it myself
When I first heard of the game I thought it's gonna be tacticool and serious, but was surprised with the tone when playing the demo, not disappointed tho, just a very different kind of fun, very humane and funny
